Extremely well written character Andre Holland opened a window for the World to see , a overly qualified Dr , at least as good as Dr John Thackary with only less experience . Celebrated in France with papers written a revolutionary surgical technique . But returned home his Parents employer funding his schooling to work at a New York Hospital The Knickerbocker. You felt all the slights the ignorant jokes and that was from even those who understood how talented Dr Edwards was , it ate at him making Algernon bitter disillusion and fool hearty taking out his frustration in fighting for nothing amongst the African American community . The The Knick episode 21 episode ark was outstanding loved everything about the show . It’s a precursor to the show coming 4 years later on Cinemax Sister Station HBO “The Gilded Age “

I love everything about this show!

I sincerely hope HBO gives this group of immensely talented artists the opportunity to continue this story. It’s unfortunate Cinemax canceled the show b/c it didn’t transform the channel’s reputation into that of a premier content creator. As much money as HBO and Cinemax waste on making absolute crap, hopefully the money people will be willing to sacrifice potential profit for the sake of making a show of substantial quality with amazing performers and writers. I’ve read that a Season 3 pilot has been writte, so let’s get this baby green lit!
