Hurdling Language Barriers.
"I sometimes wonder what would have happened had my father not insisted on teaching me to read and write in Korean. What would have happened if I hadn't gone vegan, started The Korean Vegan, begun peeling back the layers of my family's history?
Where would I be if I'd kept those stories to myself?
I rattle the chain between my hands. Let the weight of the horseshoes settle against my palms."
New York Times best-selling author and James Beard Award-winner, Joanne Molinaro, celebrates her mom, Sunny, on the occasion of her 75th birthday, and reflects on language barriers and bridges.

Finding Jeju.
"It was daytime, so there were no stars or moon for me to collect, but I took something of Jeju into my heart that day, some secret that Hallas imparted to me with as much slyness as a young girl fluttering away from home to meet her lover at twilight, a secret I could only begin to feel the shape of, even without knowing its name."
The Korean Vegan Vegan Podcast returns with stories from Joanne's recent family trip to South Korea's Jeju Island.

beautiful & healing to listen to
i always enjoy the episodes, they really get to the heart of things. the depth of sharing and reality of love, family, suffering is so transparent. it is so healing to listen to, especially as a daughter of an immigrant from taiwan, a vegan, and a woman who dreams of living life boldly, creatively and freely as you do! thank you for sharing this precious gift with us❤️
Love this!
I love your podcasts! So real and so relatable!! Totally feeling imposter syndrome at the moment so this definitely hits the mark! I listened to this episode before, but am listening again now. I really hope you have more episodes again soon!
First time listener
I watch you on Facebook all the time. Today I finally started to follow your podcast. The first episode I listened too was about cultivated meat. I wish more hard questions were asked but it was still a great episode. Please consider interviewing Miyoko Schinner. She is a very well known vegan who has spoken out against cultivated meat. She can provide more info and a present a different side of the industry I feel is very hidden to many vegans.
