    Even though most Americans over the last decade have died due to chronic illness, over 2,000 adults die every year in accidents in Oregon alone. In this trilogy, we are going to talk about what to do if a loved one dies in an accident. 
    This is the first in a three part series talking about types of accidental deaths, autopsy, and planning a funeral after the unexpected sudden death. In this episode, Brian talks about the common types of accidental deaths and the process of a person getting an autopsy done. He answers common questions about the process such as "Can I have a funeral after an autopsy is done" and "what should I expect if an autopsy is needed?".

    An accidental death can cause a lot of confusion and grief. Holding a service for a loved one who has died in an accident can be stressful and overwhelming. 
    There are many things to consider after an unexpected or sudden death, especially when planning a service. In this episode, Brian talks about the different parts of a service and how they can be impacted by a sudden death. Brian also addresses what happens when a suicide occurs and the common questions families have about autopsy and suicide.

In this episode, Brian covers the process that happens if there is an unattended death from time of death to meeting with a funeral director. This generally means that the death happened in an accident, at the home with no one present or outside of the home such as at a workplace.  This is the first in a three part series talking about types of accidental deaths, autopsy, and planning a funeral after the unexpected sudden death.

    If you have already made a pre-arrangement with a funeral home- Congratulations! This trilogy is for you. If you have not made one yet, here are things to think about for after you have written down your basic final wishes.
    The "Now What" trilogy is focused on all the things that you may not have considered when writing down your initial final wishes. If you have already created your pre-arrangement with a funeral home, you may have already discussed what you want to do for your final resting place. With funeral homes that also owned a cemetery or mausoleum, during the pre-arrangement you may have already bought a plot or crypt. If you have not made those plans yet, Brian talks about different ideas to consider when looking at what to do for a final resting place.

    If you have already made a pre-arrangement with a funeral home- Congratulations! This trilogy is for you. If you have not made one yet, here are things to think about for after you have written down your basic final wishes. 
    The "Now What" trilogy is focused on all the things that you may not have considered when writing down your initial final wishes. For this episode, Brian talks about the financial side of a pre-arrangement. If you did not fully fund the pre-arrangement, there are several things you can do to help cover the costs for your loved ones. These could include:
