Re-Release: Ep. 14 - Leftist Law ft. Franklin and Bash
Re-release: Now includes more bleep button!
Jim-hosted episode while the adult is away.
This episode Jim Carey speaks to two of his close friends currently wrapping up their time in law school. In this interview, Franklin and Bash briefly explain their ideologies - on the far left- and then provide us insight on how they plan to enter law while still keeping their radical credentials.
Franklin and Bash recount what made them go into law, but more importantly, what they as leftists plan to do once they enter the snake pits most people call courtrooms. We also spoke on tiered justice, police incompetence, the federal courts, as well as some phrenology when Jim got off track.
Either way, enjoy this episode and Jake will be rejoining us for the next. -

In this second installment of Talking Shit/the OCMA Podcast, Jim Carey speaks with core members Chas and Jorge.
In their discussion Jorge and Chas cover a range of topics from the founding of OCMA to it's growth into an ideologically and logistically organized political and outreach group.
Chas and Jorge cover everything since OCMA's inception from the BLM protests over the summer and their response to Covid-19 to what activism should look like under Biden and the currently-precarious market economy. -
Ep. 13- Two Idiots Learn About Mexico ft. Arturo Gallegos
In this episode Jake and Jim get a crash course in Mexican politics and the current conditions that besiege President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO).
Arturo is a Marxist activist and PhD candidate in Germany but has also been involved with a coalition of the German left as well as a formerly very-active member of the Popular socialist party of Mexico, a party involved in the coalition to elect AMLO.
In this interview, Arturo explains why AMLO still has his support in the face of real material conditions and explains why Mexico will need to make gradual moves to release themselves from US hegemony.
We also discuss the Coronavirus response in Mexico and why AMLO's rules are basically essential to the Mexican economy as well as what the return to the neoliberal "normal" under Biden means for US-Mexico relations. -
Ep. 12 - Welcome to the Biden Socialist Republic of America!!!
No guest this week. Instead, Jake and Jim start off on the recent peaceful transfer of power from one regime to the next and end up wandering deeper into Marxism as usual. In between those two extremes the hosts also discuss the capitol some more, Biden's early days in office, and where the cult of Trump goes next.
