Buffy meets Constantine without censors

I really enjoyed this. It ticks all the boxes I would want from a story of reluctant heroes banding together to stop angels and demons. Flawed asshat characters who develop into likeable flawed asshat characters. Battles with emotional stakes. Some really funny swearing, especially from Kit and Dee. (The whole Shakespeare scene is gold.) LGB characters are given equal representation in excessive sex scenes and I both cringed and laughed in celebration of this. All in all, great naughty fun. One star off because the ending is not quite complete.

Amazing Experience

I’ve recently gotten into audio dramas, and have been a fan of urban fantasy since I could read. That in mind, I may be a little biased when I say this is an incredibly visceral experience.

To keep things succinct, the story’s awesome, the acting is fantastic, and the audio mixing work that went into this series is amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish, and they did a fantastic job of painting an image with just audio.

Just two things to keep in mind going in: There’s enough drugs, cursing, and sex between relationships of multiple different sexualities that it definitely earned its rating. Also, it ends on a series finale that feels like there was originally another season coming, so be warned you might not find closure at the time of this review.
