Stellar Show
Joe and Connor do a great job with this podcast. They hit on all the hot-button issues and truly have a deep knowledge of the Mets that is easily seen or heard by the watchers and listeners of the pod. I’ve been thrilled to be able to ask them a few questions on the pod at the QBC as well as at Clover Park this past week, and they always give a well-thought out answer. This pod is engaging, thought-provoking and fan-oriented and SNY is lucky to have hit such a home run with this duo of hosts. As for a potential question for the next episode: If Trayce Thompson continues to hit this spring, do you see him finding a spot on the bench? I realize he’s not on the 40-man roster and Tyrone Taylor and D.J. Stewart are already two backup outfielders projected to be on the bench, but it would be hard to ignore him if he keeps hitting despite his career being mostly that of a journeyman with the Dodgers and White Sox. Thanks so much!!! — Tom from NJ aka “a familiar face”
Awesome pod
It seems like Alvarez is basically locked in as the starting catcher, which is exciting. What are your thoughts on how his workload is managed and how many games he plays (assuming he’s healthy)? Obviously don’t want to run our young catcher into the ground, but I feel like his power is really needed in the lineup. Is there a way to work him into some DH spots for rest (difficult with catchers?). Love the pod!
Great show, very entertaining and informative
Joe and Connor do a great job of breaking down all of the Mets news you could possibly want from the big league club to the minor leagues. A must listen for any Mets fan.
