I’ve been a longtime listener of The Mike O’Meara Show, and while the show has historically balanced humor with storytelling, recent content has been disappointing and concerning. Across multiple recent episodes, a recurring on-air segment involved discussing and displaying items described as having been taken from a hospital during a family medical situation. What made this especially troubling was not just the subject matter, but the repeated treatment of it as a comedic “bit,” including on-air endorsement and continuation across several shows. Comedy can push boundaries, but there’s a line where humor gives way to poor judgment—particularly when it involves medical settings and ethical considerations. The repetition of this content, rather than addressing listener concerns or moving on, reflects a lack of awareness that detracts from the show’s credibility. I hope the hosts and producers take listener feedback seriously and recalibrate toward content that reflects better judgment and respect for their audience.

If you're looking for a fantastic case study of what happens when you spend more than a decade not reading the room about when it's time to hang it up and go out before you hit rock bottom - I'd recommend! (Especially their recent cruise ship listener "party" episode - sounded like a really 'fun' time was had by all, for sure...). If you're hopeful to see a re-living of the good ol' days of the Don and Mike Show, I'm positive you can do better elsewhere - unless you're just looking for confirmation of which one of them was really carrying the team back in those days, when they actually had a sizeable fanbase. (To be fair though, I'd also recommend the show to: geriatric fathers of young children, anal-retentive amateur audio engineering aficionados, milquetoast hot-take appreciators, hospital-story fanatics, people looking for an inside scoop about what it's like becoming a Lyft driver on the side in your 60's to help keep paying the bills, anyone who wants to hear vividly detailed anecdotes about whichever chain restaurant someone ate at last night, forced-laughter enthusiasts...... and, uh... um... I dunno... I guess maybe also self-loathing Giants fans? So, maybe there's still the residue of an audience for this show out there somewhere after all.) Never been more sure the iTunes system is bot-frontloaded than seeing this show somehow magically hovering at a 4.7 rating... Bye!

The show has really went downhill after Oscar left. I cant support it no longer. Wednesday 12/3/25 episode rOBB and butt boy memtioned they will watch and review a old racist movie called Holiday Inn. rOBB had to point out it was the 1st holidaymovie with a blackface scene and sounded so excited. Why do you even own a movie like that? But then I can say look at who I am asking... "Blackface is offensive because it is inextricably linked to a history of racism, dehumanization, and the perpetuation of demeaning stereotypes against Black people. The practice, which began in the United States in the 1820s, was a central element of minstrel shows where white performers darkened their skin with burnt cork or shoe polish to mock enslaved and free African Americans for the entertainment of white audiences."
