Season 2 of The Mission Mindset - the Alpha Ireland Podcast - continues with more amazing content from our AIC22: Multiply Conference last September.

Eoghan examines our identity and influence when it comes to mission, and challenges us to ask "are we willing" when it comes to serving the Father.

Welcome to Season 2 of The Mission Mindset, the Alpha Ireland Podcast. We're really excited to be sharing with you over the coming weeks ahead some of the amazing content from our AIC22: Multiply Conference, which took place in St Catherine's Church, Dublin 8, back last month.

First up is our keynote address from Fr Columba Jordan of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. Fr Columba spoke passionately and humourously on Making Jesus' Last Command Our First Priority. 

It's all about why we should be on mission, and how we can keep our eyes focused on God, and relying on the Holy Spirit for inspiration and enthusiasm. It's worth sitting down with a cuppa over and making sure you have a pen and paper handy to scribble some notes!

This week we hear from Sr Kathryn Press ASCJ, a religious sister based in Waterford, Ireland, who is passionate about youth ministry. This is a powerful talk looking at why and how to effectively reach young people with the Gospel.

It's a great piece of input - so grab a pen and paper and get ready to be challenged and inspired in equal measure!

John is joined by Church Engagement Manager for Alpha Ireland Dan McCarty, as they explore some of the ways churches and church leaders can make the most of the fallow months of the summer. Even if people are away on holidays, what are some of the ways that churches can be intentional in building community, serving the wider parish and trying new things?

Full of practical advice and some important strategic questions, this is the perfect episode to listen to if you're thinking that God might have a plan for using the long days ahead for mission.

This week John and Dom look at why and how Leadership is Discipleship. Later, John is joined by Sam Moore. Sam founded Innovista in Ireland in 2009. A trainer, facilitator and coach, he leads the team and is passionate about collaboration and leadership that serves the vulnerable and transforms communities. He holds an MDiv, is working towards coaching accreditation with the ICF and serves on two boards. Parents of two small children, Sam and his wife Emily are involved in leadership in their local church.

John and Sam chat about how churches can better develop their leadership teams, the role of discipleship in leading a healthy church culture, and just what exactly is coaching?

Our guest this week is Emily Morrissey, Church Engagement Administrator with Alpha Ireland.

John and Emily talk about the recent Church Leaders' Marriage Course Online, which Alpha Ireland hosted. They discuss how the Marriage Course can have a real impact on the lives of not just church leaders, but the wider congregation. They examine why and how strong marriages can have such an impact on the life of the church, and also explore practical ways of awakening a culture of service in your church.
