    He Hit a Wall

    Yes, we get funny looks and more often than not are privately asked, “you guys actually get along??”  I can’t speak for Mer, but my response to that is, “we are friends, so at the very least we get along”. Mer, by the way, is Meredith, Mark’s ex- wife, but far better known as the kindest, most thoughtful, resilient, strong, beautiful, blue-eyed and stylish, mama to my step-mama. It's unconventional, the two of us.  I suspect some find it odd that we often get drinks together, schedule brunches, DM random dog posts, and mutually share links to cute Amazon finds or shops we like. I guess it would be weird to think that the first person I texted when Betty White died was Mer and she shared her devastation of Bob Saget’s untimely death with me.
