    ER Visit & Moving Through Pregnancy Challenges

    In this episode, Holly opens up about the unexpected health challenges she has faced during her pregnancy journey. Around 18 weeks pregnant, she began experiencing severe and debilitating digestive issues that quickly escalated, leading to rapid weight & blood loss and the need for immediate medical support. After being admitted to the hospital and undergoing extensive testing, including blood work, stool samples, a pregnancy-safe MRI, and a flexible sigmoidoscopy, she received a diagnosis of ulcerative colitis, an autoimmune condition that can be triggered or intensified during pregnancy. Holly shares what it has been like navigating this diagnosis in real time, mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, while continuing to hold trust in her body and the life growing within her. She speaks to the uncertainty of whether this condition is temporary or something she will manage long-term, and how she is learning to integrate both holistic practices and modern medicine in her healing journey. She also reflects on the deeper meaning within this experience, what it is asking of her, what it is teaching her about surrender, resilience, and trust, and how it is shaping her transition into motherhood.
