    Jamie had a passion for sport from a young age in gymnastics and rugby before much later finding a new adventure in crossfit. Born and raised in New Zealand, a small island deep in the south, she's now based in Abu Dhabi. Jamie works as a personal trainer/coach at Crossfit Yas where she also trains as a Crossfit Athlete. In this episode we talk about: How she found crossfit The opportunity that was presented to coach in Abu Dhabi Her strongest and most challenging exercises  What she does to get away from the Crossfit environment to stay fresh The importance of recovery between the competition days of the Crossfit Games How did it feel to win the Dubai competition and be ranked number 1 To be an athlete and compete in events at the top of the world, it takes a lot of hard work and sacrifices. It can be excused in these stories of individuals being called selfish but that's the commitment you need in order to be fully focused on the vision ahead. Yes it can be a lonely road but the reward at the end is worth it.

She started her rugby pro at seventeen and three years later went on to win her first Gold Medal at the Rio Olympics, and is now looking for her second in 2021 in Tokyo. But to be awarded a gold medal puts you in the 1% elite group. And it doesn’t come without the sacrifices and setbacks on the road to glory. But if you want to reach the best, you have to do whatever it takes to be the best.

    Genah has an amazing outlook on life. She has a competitive nature, and thrives on overcoming any challenges she faces to achieve greatness. In this episode we talk about: The transition from track and field to kickboxing. Her openess to explore new adventures in sport and culture. The competitive inner nature that kept her wanting more, and moving from sport to sport. Genah's beliefs in the higher power, and putting out to the universe what you want, and what you're willing to work for. What it feels to be the Womens Muay Thai World Champion. When she was approached by the PFL President for an opportunity to fight in the Professional Fighters League, Genah was already working on her ground game. At the young age of 30 Genah has already achieved so much in life but she is not stopping yet. Even if she decided to retire now, she has worked in the corporate world where she held a very financially secure position before she chose to get after her dreams. There's so many lessons we can take from Genah here, one thing for sure is you only live once so open your wings and explore this great world we have for a very short time.

    Anthony shares a powerful story that could move a nation. In this episode we talk about:  His childhood from the age of three to fourteen he had moved into six different foster care homes until adopted by an all white poor family.  The willingness to work hard, and learn the game of football opened opportunities. He was offered a full scholarship to the University of Oregon, and then went on to become a NFL Professional.  Hard lessons he learnt of becoming your own boss when he opened his own gym.  One evening he had enough and decided he wanted to end his own life. How one conversation with a close friend was a lightbulb moment that started the creation of the Identity Shift.  Anthony has a natural gift, and his ability to connect with a crowd is easy to understand when you hear of his incredible journey. Like many of his audiences he leaves in awe, I believe that you too will be emotionally taken on a rollercoaster ride when you experience the 'shifts' that got him to where he is today.

Her personal battle with anorexia for a couple of years, and the amazing support of close family and friends to get her through it. The cultural values and it's important part in her life. Embracing and immersing yourself in a new country and community.  Giving back to a nation that have welcomed her and George as their own. Her thoughts of playing for Ireland against her country of birth NZ. What it takes to stay focused in training throughout the COVID19 lockdown. The importance of strategically planning for a career after sport.  She's a key figure in Ireland womens rugby but her influence is not only on the field but also the amazing work she does off it too. Sene is an example of true grit and resilience that we're not defined by the obstacles we face in life but how we choose to break through them.

    Ray Sefo, also known as Sugarfoot is a six-time Muay Thai World Champion and three-time Combat Sports Hall Of Famer.  In this episode we talk about:  his humble upbringing being the second youngest, and his first found love for martial arts.  the importance of having an open mind to eplore, and grow by experiencing different styles out there from Kung Fu to Boxing to Jiu Jitsu.  Ray's aha moment that seperates the Professional Fighters League to other Mixed Martial Art competitions.  having big dreams is real, and the one key factor that most successful people do to make it become a reality.  the toughest opponents he has come up against.  Ray has had a very successful career in mixed martial arts as an athlete, and now a businessman. His resilience through his experiences in the ring, square and octagon is something that can't be taught. He's not only a champion, but a great believer in seeing the good things in life.

    Nasi Manu is a professional rugby player and a Super Rugby champion. He represented Ikale Tahi (Tonga) at the 2019 Rugby World Cup. But his greatest win in life was beating cancer. He shares about his moments of vulnerability when he received the news and was diagnosed of testicular cancer.  Nasi talks about his mental shift to battle the chemotherapy sessions. And he speaks of people that you wouldn't really think of that he would draw strength, encouragement and support from apart from his very own family.  His journey fighting through cancer gave him a new appreciation for life, and gratitude to be back playing the sport he loves.

In this episode he shares some valuable lessons from his own relationships which has helped him to connect with his clients on a more human level.  He talks about focusing on self reflection after the failure of his first marriage, and how it helped him to delve deeper to highlight areas he needed to continue working on to be a better person, and a better partner. Relationships is a teamwork which require patience, trust, being good listeners and more. There’s always room for improvement, we just have to be willing.  Bryon has a special gift as a stand up comedian, and he allows that natural talent to soften difficult talking points. With 20 years of experience as a therapist, he still takes great joy in making counseling feel comfortable, and a place that allows couples and families to be authentic, whereby positive changes become more possible.
