    The Nielson Show - July 7th, 2026 - Hour 3

    We got the third hour started with Mr Mikes Kind of Easy Trivia.    It was then time for Three Questions Too Many presented by Park Mazda.   ESPN's Greg Wyshynski locked down the final segment of today's jam-packed show. We kicked things off with a global perspective, getting Greg's thoughts on Team USA's tough elimination match at the World Cup yesterday. Then, we plunged straight into deep hockey water, starting with the local scene as Wysh it analyzed Stan Bowman's aggressive free agency blueprint and the landscape-shifting decision to trade Darnell Nurse to San Jose. From there, we tackled the multi-million dollar question sweeping the league: Will the Ducks match Philadelphia's toxic $90M offer sheet, or is Leo Carlsson officially a Flyer? After a quick temperature check on the Florida Panthers' latest roster adjustments, we wrapped up the program by diving into the squared circle with Wysh's ultimate take on the latest news and storylines in the WWE.   We finished the show like we always do with The Wrap from William Huff.

He gave us his initial thoughts on Bo-Levi Mitchell's recent injury and then just a recap on CFL Week 5 and then a brief preview on CFL Week 6.   It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day.   After the break, Chelsey Labelle from Expedia Cruises joined the show to showcase this years trip to Mexico. We got right into the show with Morning Announcements for The Haddies Golf Shop to recap all the major headlines from yesterday.   After the break, we got into Offseason, What Offseason presented by GCL Diesel. Now that Claude Giroux is off the books, who should the Oilers go after with the money they have?   To finish off hour one the boys got Fired Up for Gemco Fireplaces! Plenty to be Fired Up about on today's show. The EST Golf Classic tomorrow, Dusty's fantasy draft he's in and of course the LeBron jet.

"Gager" stopped by to break down a wild weekend in the sports world, starting with the dramatic events at the British Grand Prix. We dug into the latest rumors swirling around Max Verstappen and analyzed Ferrari's impressive finish at Silverstone. To wrap up the show, we shifted gears back to the ice to get his expert take on the Edmonton Oilers' current goaltending situation.   We finished the show like we always do with The Wrap from William Huff.

    The Nielson Show - July 6th, 2026 - Hour 2

    Former NHL netminder Jamie McLennan joined us for his final hit of the season, and since we missed him last week, we had a massive mountain of Oilers news to clear out. "Noodles" broke down the headlines regarding Edmonton's official plan to carry three goaltenders next season and shared why he actually doesn't hate the approach. From there, we evaluated the Oilers' new-look blue line, tracking how well Stan Bowman navigated the historic Darnell Nurse trade to San Jose. Finally, Jamie mapped out the exact workload split he expects among the three netminders and advised what management should do with their freshly cleared cap space.   It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day.   Right after the break, we mapped out the entire CFL Week 5 slate with former league quarterback Chris Streveler. "Strevy" weighed in on the devastating, horrific injury to future Hall of Famer Bo Levi Mitchell that had him carted off the field in Hamilton last night. From there, the conversation shifted to pure dominance under center as we looked at Vernon Adams Jr.'s absolutely absurd tear to start the year. Finally, Chris gave us his take on the local scene, breaking down the Edmonton Elks' first loss of the season and diagnosing exactly what went sideways for the Green and Gold out in BC.   To finish hour two, we got into MMMMMM That's Good presented by The Italian Centre Shop. The third annual EST Golf Classic gets underway this week. How good is that?
