The Obtuse Angles Podcast

This show is great! I am not someone who usually finds standup funny, That being said I can’t listen to anyone else! These two knuckleheads are great at making hard topics funny! Very entertaining, i play episodes on the way home, doing house chores etc! Thanks for keeping it Evergreenman

I tried giving The Obtuse Angles Podcast a fair shot, but it honestly feels like a masterclass in talking in circles without ever saying anything meaningful. The hosts seem more interested in hearing themselves speak than actually delivering clear, engaging content. Topics that could be interesting somehow get stretched into long, unfocused discussions full of contradictions and half-baked takes. There’s also a noticeable lack of preparation—points get repeated, basic facts are missed, and conversations derail constantly. Instead of thoughtful debate, it comes across as unnecessarily difficult for the sake of sounding “deep,” when really it’s just frustrating to follow. The biggest issue is that it doesn’t respect the listener’s time. Episodes drag on without structure, clarity, or payoff. With so many great podcasts out there, it’s hard to justify sticking with one that feels this disorganized and self-indulgent. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you enjoy confusion and circular conversations.

Hey if you’re ever in Texas and want a ride on Thunder I have it here in Dallas! That episode was pretty funny. Show was legit when I was 10 as well. Now days so cringe but I had to own that boat someday and was lucky enough to pick it up 2 years ago.

Bam bam, boom boom, Wham bam, thank ya ma’am, iron mike, the professor, the southern dandy, flyboy, the Golden Child, stackle Lee. I love them episodes when they talk about McCobb Rey Month. Love this podcast!
