My name is Bryan Wish. I’m an entrepreneur, CEO, and pathfinder. If I’ve learned anything in life, it’s that self-discovery is a critical part of living intentionally, building meaningful relationships, and achieving the future we see for ourselves.

In July of 2021, I sold all of my possessions, headed west, and began a quest to live a fuller and more meaningful life.

The experience helped me truly understand the power of a single moment.

And through my conversations with leaders from all walks of life, I’ve seen how that one phone call, heartbreak, diagnosis, or lost job can transform the entire course of our lives.

In this podcast, I sit down with entrepreneurs, influencers, and experts across industries to talk through the events that changed everything. Together, we’ll relive the make-or-break decisions, hard conversations, periods of despair and hope, chance encounters—and everything that followed.

Peter Sorckoff: One Tragedy Away From an Ego Shift

Peter Sorckoff is the Founder and CEO of Seer, a company that aims to solve business problems by applying behavioral science, allowing organizations to more accurately understand the behavior of customers, consumers, fans, donors, and voters.

Peter’s career began in a therapeutic environment, which informed his human-centric vision of marketing from the outset. Prior to the launch of Seer, Peter was Chief Creative Officer & EVP Brand for the Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena, where he built an internal agency that changed the paradigm of sports partnerships with Coca-Cola, Anheuser Busch, Diageo, Verizon, and FanDuel. His leadership created the $40M Emory Courts practice facility — the USA’s first cohabited professional sports practice facility, human sports science lab, and sports medicine and orthopedic practice.

Ximena Hartsock: One Vote Away From a Paradigm Shift

Ximena Hartsock: One Vote Away From a Paradigm Shift

Ximena Hartsock is the co-founder of BuildWithin, which provides software and services for employers to find, onboard, and accelerate the productivity of “new-collar” workers. BuildWithin was founded on the principle that when given the proper access, resources, and training, anyone can move into a career they are passionate about and be successful in it - a philosophy they sum up in their motto, "Potential over Credential"!

Ximena was born and raised in Santiago, Chile, where her father instilled in her a love of books that led her to pursue a degree in Spanish Literature and Philosophy at the University of La Serena. Upon graduating, Ximena moved to the US and started over from the ground up, working a series of service jobs while pursuing a teaching license. She would go on to work in the DC Public Schools for several years, starting as an aide and working all the way up to Deputy Chief for Teaching and Learning. In 2009, Ximena was promoted to Director of Parks and Recreation by then-DC Mayor Adrian Fenty, where she was tasked with the completion of numerous major construction projects such as the Wilson pool and Washington Nationals Baseball Park.

When the Mayor’s term ended, Ximena left local government and became the National Director of Mobilization and Outreach at StudentsFirst, a nonprofit focused on education initiatives. At StudentsFirst, she had the idea for Phone2Action, a technology for civic engagement, and wrote a patent for connecting people to their lawmakers that was granted by the USPTO in 2021.
