This week, Mikayla tells us about the most powerful and life-changing night of her life, sitting in ceremony with Mushroom medicine. This was an all-women experience, carried out in sisterhood, that also included Cacao, Hape, and Sananga medicines. In this part 1 of our most powerful episode to date, Mikayla speaks to her profound healing of the sisterhood wound while being held in sisterhood. Her process involves letting go of old stories of deep inner distrust in women, struggling with female friendships, moving through feelings of judgement from self and others, and being a survivor of bullying. We talk about finding forgiveness and acceptance of these past traumatic experiences as she moves into a place of true peace and freedom, as well as being able to hold empathy and compassion for all souls involved. On this episode, Mikayla and Alyssa start off with some conversations about the current Canadian wildfires, thoughts about lightning, and the moment in childhood when you begin to have existential questions about consciousness. Then, Alyssa talks about her trip to the vortex of Banff National Park in Canada this past July, including some discussion about what a vortex is and why planet Earth has them. She discusses what it was like to partake in, observe, and help process the emotions for other people’s healings during a day-long observer session at the ranch. Alyssa also talks about her own session with Loesje and the horses, centered around the feelings of missing a previous version of herself while in the peak of addiction, with 'easy' access to fleeting happiness.
