It's The Outdated Wrestling COMEDY Hour - With PWI Legend Craig Peters!

It's The Outdated Wrestling COMEDY Hour - With PWI Legend Craig Peters!

Watch out for banana peels: This decidedly different edition of The Outdated Wrestling Hour With Bob Smith (the former managing editor of Pro Wrestling Illustrated) sees his editor-in-chief, Craig Peters, return to the show for the fourth time - and they basically just talk...about wrestling and comedy. It's a fond remembrance of such truly funny personalities as Andy Kaufman, Bill Apter, Jim Cornette, Bobby Heenan, and moments that were actually full of real laughs in the midst of all the classic action. There's more "insider" tales of PWI office jokes, and even more oddball stuff than we have room to list here. Bonus: Re-life the best moments of "staff announcer" Bob Twenty Minutes From Now, and vote yay or nay about whether the hapless helper stays or goes!

A Book Like No Other: Eric Johnston, Wrestling, & Comedy!

A Book Like No Other: Eric Johnston, Wrestling, & Comedy!

If the famed, award-winning wrestling journalist Greg Oliver is behind something, it's GOT to be good - and he worked with the rising Canadian comedy star Eric Johnston on the just-released book Run With The Bull: Three Generations Of Sports & Entertainment. So why is Eric Johnston on a wrestling nostalgia podcast? He's the link to a couple of classic grapplers: His grandfather was the famed '70s traveling heel Bull Johnson, and the son of Canadian star Danny "Bullwhip" Johnson.  Now, Eric Johnston has teamed with Greg Oliver for a book that's got it all: Comedy, nostalgia, pathos, heartfelt memories, great action photos, and a style unlike any other wrestling book you'll ever read. It's already a hit in Canada, and Johnston is on his way to being a major name in comedy and film. He's a multi-faceted man - and this is a multi-faceted podcast: The Outdated Wrestling Hour with former PWI editor Bob Smith. Even for this hit show, it's an episode that's totally unique!

Old School Rules

What an absolute great Wrestling hour! As we know 60 mins is just a suggestion when it comes to Wrestling time keeping. This podcast is so much fun I do wish it was longer. The WWA (Bruiser Bedlam) episode was amazing. Please keep it up!

Awesome Podcast

This is a great podcast. I love the classic old school content. Especially the Michigan & Indiana territory. Terry Sullivan is the best. Scott Rexsteiner, Dr. Jerry Graham, Mohammed Jihad Saad, Calypso Jim, Great Woj, ‘Bulldog’ Don Kent, & Chris Carter. Loved watching WWA.
