    I Do Not Come to The Natural World As a Worthy Bride

    In this podcast, I read an essay that explores what it means to enter the natural world awkwardly—stumbling, disoriented, unsure of where to place ourselves—and how she receives us there anyway, without demand for certainty, meeting us in all our mess. I tell the story of how I first came to the natural world at 23, when I bought a one-way ticket to Maui and signed up to work on an organic farm. Leaving behind a life that felt empty—shaped by drinking and waking up at noon each day—I began to learn what it might mean to build a life rooted in meaning and purpose. * You can find all of my writing on Substack @ The Outskirts.
