188 | Ministry and Personal Goals for 2026

In this episode we reflect on our goals for 2026, both personal and ministry-related, hoping to inspire you to do the same. We have exciting plans, like completing a new building project at Bethlehem that will enhance fellowship and youth ministry spaces, and growing our deacon ministry through intentional spiritual growth and brotherhood. In student ministry, we aim to deepen discipleship and better connect families, while also expanding Sunday school engagement to help assimilate new members more effectively. We’re launching a churchwide Bible reading plan, Foundations 260, to foster unity in Scripture engagement, paired with weekly teaching on selected passages to enrich our understanding. We also want to emphasize relational discipleship, encouraging close-knit groups that multiply spiritual growth beyond formal programs. Missions remain a priority, and we’re exploring new partnerships to strengthen our outreach internationally. Personally, we’re focusing on revitalizing our spiritual passion, improving personal devotion, and setting practical goals like intentional music ministry, reading more books, and maintaining health habits. We recognize the importance of balancing ministry with soul-refreshing activities such as backpacking and outdoor hobbies that also offer opportunities for mentorship and fellowship. As a community, we’re committed to growing together in prayer, accountability, confidentiality, and truth, trusting God to bless our efforts throughout the year. We hope you’ll walk alongside us in this journey of faith and service.

187 | The Mystery Of The Incarnation

In this episode of the PACT Podcast, we dive into the doctrine of the incarnation, which is central to our Christian faith and the celebration of Christmas. We unpack the meaning of incarnation—Jesus, the eternal Son of God, taking on flesh through the virgin birth. Together, we explore key biblical passages like Philippians 2, Hebrews 1, and John 1, which highlight Jesus’ humility, divinity, and humanity. We wrestle with the mystery of how Jesus is fully God and fully man simultaneously, emphasizing that these two natures coexist distinctly yet inseparably in one person without mixing or diminishing each other. We discuss why this doctrine is essential for our salvation since only someone fully God can forgive sins, and only someone fully human can die and atone for them. We also consider Jesus’ sinlessness and his genuine experience of temptation, which makes his perfect obedience meaningful for our redemption. Furthermore, we reflect on how the incarnation affects our sanctification and future glorification, as Jesus redeems not only our hearts but our whole being. We guard against misconceptions that Jesus laid aside his divine attributes during his earthly life, affirming that he retained his omniscience and omnipotence while choosing to reveal himself progressively. Although some aspects remain mysterious, we affirm the necessity of the incarnation for our redemption and encourage one another to marvel at the Savior who is truly God and truly man. Finally, we recommend resources for deeper study and pray that listeners will be encouraged to pursue prayer, accountability, confidentiality, and truth within their Christian community.
