Welcome to The Park Presents Podcast. The Park Theater is a premier entertainment venue in downtown Glens Falls, New York. Throughout the year, we present a variety of events including our highly-anticipated season that runs from September to May showcasing local and internationally touring artists - in addition to community outreach programming. Hosted by Chris Ristau (Executive Director, The Park Theater Foundation), we invite you to join us as we take you through our 2023/24 season with artist interviews, series recaps, information on upcoming events and initiatives, and so much more! ----- We are bringing you a special episode of ‘The Park Presents’ podcast that was recorded on November 3rd, 2022 live at The Park Theater featuring indie-folk duo, Fort Vine. We caught up with them before their soundcheck to chat all things music and life. Here’s a snippet of our behind the scenes conversation before we got rolling.... sit back and enjoy! Fort Vine performed in our 2022/23 'Live & Local' series. Trevor Tunison and Nyna Nelson are Fort Vine, the husband and wife indie-folk duo named after a secret tree fort in NYC that they built together when they first met in 2011. After playing shows with their full band in the big apple for over 6 years, Trevor and Nyna decided to take their show on the road as a duo. Traveling in their beautiful DIY-converted sprinter van, they have been on a perpetual music tour since 2018, traveling all across North America and even venturing across Europe. This tour continues, even today, and has become the duo’s chosen lifestyle. Inspired by their van-life travels, Fort Vine’s music is full of feel-good lyrics, colorful harmonies, compelling stories and catchy rhythms. Fort Vine is sure to transport you straight to your happy place. They will be performing on December 7th, 2023 as part of the 2023/24 'Live & Local' series. ----- Host: Chris Ristau (Executive Director, The Park Theater Foundation) Music: "Say Hello" - Fort Vine (Trevor Tunison & Nyna Nelson - www.fortvine.com) Sound Engineer: Chris Reed Jr. (Glens Falls Music Academy, Glens Falls, NY - www.glensfallsmusicacademy.com) The Park Theater Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the Glens Falls community by providing a venue for quality and affordable entertainment and educational opportunities in the performing arts.
