Together, Mike and Dan talk about the difference between wanting change and being ready for healing, the predictable comforts we keep running back to, and the loving invitation of Jesus to bring our brokenness into the light. Because readiness is not about having it all together. It is about taking the next honest step with God toward real restoration.

    In Episode 2 of Season Two of The Pause Within, Mike and Dan sit with one of the most honest questions Jesus ever asked: “Do you want to be made well?” It sounds like an obvious question, but the longer you sit with it, the more personal it becomes. Because many of us want the pain to stop, the pressure to lift, the habit to loosen, or the relationship to get better, but healing asks something deeper of us. This episode is about the difference between wanting relief and being ready for real restoration. Together, Mike and Dan talk about the places we feel stuck, the comforts we keep returning to, and the loving invitation of Jesus to stop just surviving beside the pool and begin walking into a new way of life.

    In the Season Two premiere of The Pause Within, Mike and Dan begin a new journey by introducing the foundational framework at the heart of Pause Ministries: God, Self, Others. This episode explores how healing begins when life returns to the right order. Together, Mike and Dan reflect on Jesus’ words in Mark 12, the importance of loving God first, learning to see ourselves through His eyes, and then loving others from a place of healing rather than fear, control, shame, or need. At the heart of the conversation is a simple but powerful truth: healing is not about managing what people can see on the outside. It is about letting God meet what is broken on the inside. Because when God becomes the source, self comes into alignment, and love for others becomes the overflow.
