In over 2 decades of past youth ministry my leaders and students poked fun at me when I would be in groups of people and peel off with one person to encourage and challenge (make better) it became known as a Pinkleton Pull-Aside.That’s what we are trying to pursue here. Have a fun, fascinating, life-giving conversation with guests with great platforms, better stories that can add great value to your life. Swoboda (Ph.D., Birmingham) is the associate professor of Bible and Theology at Bushnell University. He served as a college pastor on the University of Oregon campus for nearly ten years. For another decade, he planted and pastored an urban church in Portland, Oregon, called Theophilus, which continues to worship today. He leads a Doctor of Ministry program around Spiritual Formation and Soul Care at Friends University. He has taught at the London School of Theology, LIFE Pacific, Southeastern University, and Multnomah University. He is the author of over ten books, including Redeeming How We Talk, After Doubt, and the award-winning Subversive Sabbath. He hosts the “Slow Theology” podcast (w/ Dr. Nijay Gupta) and writes the widely read “Low-Level Theologian” Substack. A.J. lives and works on an urban farm with his wife and son in Eugene, Oregon.

Justin Giboney (JD, Vanderbilt University) is the cofounder and president of the AND Campaign, a Christian civic organization focused on raising civic literacy, promoting civic pluralism, and equipping Christians to engage politics with the love and truth of Jesus Christ. An ordained minister, attorney, and political strategist, Giboney has been featured in publications such as the New York Times and Christianity Today and is the coauthor of the book Compassion (&) Conviction. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife and three sons. Please welcome guest host Dawn Tincher to today's program.

He is the Founder and Executive Director of Love Beyond Walls, a nonprofit organization focused on raising awareness about poverty and homelessness and on community mobilization. Additionally, he serves as the Director of Public Policy and Social Change and as a professor at Simmons College of Kentucky (HBCU). He received his PhD with a concentration in Public Policy and Social Change from Union Institute and University. His recent book with InterVarsity Press released Fall of 2025, entitled, “From Dropout to Doctorate: Breaking The Chains of Educational Injustice.” Terence is happily married to his best friend, Cecilia Lester, and they have two amazing children, Zion Joy and Terence II.
