The Pan-Mass Challenge raises money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through an annual bike-a-thon that crosses Massachusetts. Since its founding in 1980, the PMC has successfully melded support from committed cyclists, volunteers, corporate sponsors and individual contributors. All are essential to the PMC's goal and model: to attain maximum fundraising efficiency while increasing its annual gift. Our hope and aspiration is to provide Dana-Farber's doctors and researchers with the necessary resources to discover cures for all cancers. This podcast discusses all things PMC.

Caring For Our Heroes
According to Oncolink.org, there are approximately 40,000 new cancer cases reported in Veterans each year, with many of these cases caused by exposure to chemicals and other carcinogens on bases or the field of battle. Iraq War Veteran, Purple Heart recipient, and advocate for veterans, Kurt Power, joins The PMC Podcast to talk about the risk to veterans, and our responsibility to ensure America's heroes receive the cancer testing and treatment they need and deserve.

The Body Episode
As athletes and cyclists, we too often focus on putting in the miles on the bike, only thinking about our fitness off the bicycle when things start to hurt. On this episode, we welcome Jen Connell, PT, DPT of Bay State Physical Therapy and Bob Vinson, a massage therapist who has volunteered for over 30 years at Mass Maritime in Bourne, to talk about the importance of pre-habilitation and massage to help athletes leading up to, and recovering from long rides and races.
