    2026 Season - Episode (Special Guests: Kai Allen & Alex Ninovic)

    In this edition of the show, we recap all the F1 action from the Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix and we also chat with special guests: Kai Allen, & Alex Ninovic. SPECIAL GUESTS: KAI ALLEN: Kai Allen, is fast becoming one of the top drivers in the Supercars Championship. He’s a two-time Australian National Karting Champion, who also holds the record for being the youngest-ever driver to win the Super2 Championship. In 2025, he embarked on his first full season in the Supercars main game, where he impressed many, scoring 16 top 10's, five podiums ,and making it into the final four in the Supercars Finals. In 2026, he has continued to turn heads, enjoying a breakout weekend at Ruapuna, scoring three podiums and securing his first-ever race win in the Supercars Championship. The driver of the No. 26 Grove Racing Ford Mustang joins us on The Podium to reflect on his debut season, and to talk about his impressive start to the 2026 season. ALEX NINOVIC: Alex Ninovic, is one of the rising stars of Australian motorsport, and is considered by many to be the next Aussie in-line to compete in Formula 1. He won multiple Australian Karting titles before making the move to Europe, where he has already enjoyed plenty of success, finishing up as vice-champion in the British F4 Championship in 2024. In 2025, he stepped up to the GB3 Championship and had a phenomenal season, setting new records for the series, by scoring 10 pole positions, 10 fastest laps, 11 podiums, and 9 wins on his way to a dominant championship win. In 2026, he's once again driving for Rodin Motorsport, and making the move up to the FIA Formula Regional European Championship. First up, on The Podium we’re going to joined on the show with a motorsport icon, with a resume that proves why he is widely considered by many to be the GOAT of motorsport. Mario Andretti is a F1 World Champion, multiple IndyCar Series Champion, who has also won the Daytona 500, theIndianapolis 500, and stood on the top step of the podium at LeMans. He’s also been one of the instrumental figures who got Cadillac onto the grid in Formula 1. Mario Andretti joins us on The Podium to talk about his role with Cadillac, gives us his thoughts on some of the hottest topics in motorsport, and reflects on some memorable moments from his career. And then a little later on, we’re going to be joined on The Podium, with Supercars driver, and host of the hugely popular Apex Hunters United Podcast, Scott Pye. He joins us on The Podium to talk about the huge breaking news from the Supercars Championship, involving the departure of the CEO, just two events into the 2026 season. We also get his thoughts on the opening rounds of the championship, and talk about his podcast hitting the huge milestone of 100 episodes.   And if that wasn’t enough, we’re also going to bespeaking with the original co-host of our show, Ollie Yeomans.     Mario Andretti - Interview (2026)

    Mario Andretti is a motorsport icon, with a résumé that proves why he is widely considered by many to be the GOAT of motorsport. He is the only driver to have won the Daytona 500, the Indianapolis 500, secured a class victory at Le Mans, won the 12 Hours of Sebring, the 24 Hours of Daytona, multiple IndyCar Series titles, and the Formula 1 World Championship. His career statistics in both Formula 1 and IndyCar are truly remarkable. His Formula 1 career consisted of 128 Grand Prix starts, during which he claimed 12 wins, 10 fastest laps, 18 pole positions, and 19 podiums, becoming Formula 1 World Champion in 1978. Meanwhile, his IndyCar career spanned a staggering 407 races, in which he recorded 52 wins, 65 pole positions, and an incredible 141 podiums, including victory at the Indianapolis 500 in 1969, along with four championships between 1965 and 1984. He also holds the record as the oldest race winner in IndyCar history, triumphing at 53 years of age in Phoenix in 1993. He retired from professional racing after competing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2000. In the years since, he has gone on to mentor a number of incredibly talented drivers and has found continued success in the business world. Some of our younger listeners might also remember him from his memorable cameos in the hit 2006 Pixar film Cars, as well as the 2013 film Turbo. In 2024, he joined the board of Cadillac and was instrumental in the team’s bid to join the Formula 1 grid. In 2026, he has returned to the Formula 1 paddock with the Cadillac Formula 1 Team, who unveiled their new car, which has been named in his honour. Mario Andretti joins us on The Podium to talk about his role in Cadillac's entry into Formula 1.
