    In this interview, I sit down with Annie (@justthisannie on TikTok) to talk about her path from standard European eating — with stops in veganism, vegetarianism, and pescatarianism along the way — to a carnivore lifestyle that changed everything. Annie opens up about the constant mental chatter she didn't even realize was there until it was gone: the "food noise" she now calls what it really is: food addiction. We dig into how carbs became her gateway, how she cut through decades of shoulds, and why she no longer needs willpower to skip the bread basket. We also get into some bigger territory: the moral self-righteousness she carried as a vegan (and later recognized in her own political tribalism), the ego and the "self vs. not-self" framework, why women often downplay eating a lot of meat, and what it's actually like feeding a toddler in a household that doesn't do dogma.
