Interview with Sidney Eugene | Episode 186
I had the opportunity to sit down with fellow Step-Dad Sidney Eugene Savoie II and discuss his blended family journey. Sidney is 42 years old. Born/raised/resides in Lafayette, LA. Dad is former military, both parents are former school teachers and small business owners. played sports growing up. Involved with youth ministry, missionary work, volunteer work growing up. Spent a year and a half in the seminary, three years as a foreign missionary, and also donated a kidney to his boss’s first cousin. Has worked for a local hot sauce factory for the past 8 years. Met the love of his life in January 2022, and got married April 2023. He is a dad to two wonderful stepsons.

Wow! As a single mom who was in dire need of sound advice I am SO RELIEVED to have stumbled upon Franco’s podcast! I am not a step parent myself, nor had I had any experience before getting involved in a relationship with someone new. There’s a narrative spilled across the internet that step fathers really don’t have to do much when it comes to accommodating the children whose lives they’ve now STEPPED into. This podcast has been a breath of fresh air in a world still heavily steeped in “do as I say not as I do” culture and exactly what I needed when I was trying to navigate this tricky time in my life. It is a gem for any man looking to STEP UP to the plate & a Godsend for the single moms seeking to understand what their men are up against. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this podcast a thousand times over!

I can’t say enough about this podcast and how much insight it has given me. It can be helpful for any parents, step or bio! Franco is so responsive as well to any questions. There is no podcast out there like this, so if you’re willing to be better as a parent, make sure you listen!
