Episode 307 - Myke Soop

I discovered Myke Soop a couple months back from his Skyzoo interview on YouTube and instantly resonated with his interview style. After checking out several more of his chats with artists like Ivan Ave, Brittney Carter and Joe from The Other Guys I also realized I connected with his overall music taste as well. This led me to reach out about having him on the show and we made it happen this week on episode 307! Myke told me about his beginnings as a Cleveland native forming a love for Hip-Hop and R&B among other genres by finding artists that he resonated with. This led to his work in radio and the formation of his brand and mix show “Soop’s Kitchen”, a platform designed to help listeners discover new creatives they might not be in tune with quite yet. I enjoyed hearing his process for forming his mixes based solely off of his individual ear and overall feeling for sounds that might pair well together. We also talked about how his path has connected him with so many amazing individuals through the many avenues he’s created for himself and it will be very exciting to see where things will branch off towards from here. Episode 306 - Duhon Pt. 2

For the first time since the summer of 2023 I welcomed back Menifee, California native and artist Duhon to the show for episode 306! Having kept an eye on his recent works I was excited to catch up with him and talk more about the direction he’s taken his music and overall brand as an artist over the past couple of years. He told me about the process behind filming distinct visuals for each single he’s released since early 2025 and the ways that they have helped to elevate the traction he’s been seeing. I really enjoyed hearing the level of careful thought and detail he’s putting into each decision from film techniques, concept creation and the overall execution of his ideas from start to finish. He also touched on how he’s been able to get comfortable enough in front of and behind the camera to make things fun and more carefree for himself, thus allowing for a much smoother end result. Duhon didn’t leave without previewing what’s next on the music side including a new collaboration project, more solo singles, and an experimental house project all set to be unleashed very soon. Episode 305 - Julian Argo

North Carolina based MC Julian Argo joined me this week for episode 305 once again courtesy of Dom. With over 15 years of experience in the space I knew that Julian would have some awesome insight to share and he didn’t disappoint. He spoke about his early love for writing and poetry and the ways it helped shape his pen and style as an artist when first starting out. From there he began releasing a long string of projects over the years and formulating his sound which has led all the way to his recent single titled “Skin Freestyle” that dropped in February. He revealed to me his plans to stay consistent with new music over the next several months while continuing to push supporting content via social media and work with great individuals like Dom along the way. Episode 304 - Markivus Nious

Following my appearance on his platform Deeper Than Music a couple months back I was very happy to be joined this week by Markivus Nious on episode 304. With over 25 years of experience in the music world I was very excited to flip the script and get his perspective on how his journey has unfolded up to this point. He told me about coming from a military background and how relationships he formed through his travels helped form his early foundation as an artist. While also having experience in radio, Markivus discussed how it led to the inception of Deeper Than Music which has allowed him to work and collaborate with many incredible individuals in the space over the last several years. He also has still been creating and releasing plenty of new music with goals to keep diversifying his sound and listener reach. I loved hearing about his long-term goals for his own company Nious Media as well as his continued success in the world of sync. Episode 303 - StoneyBrooks

With Bronx roots and a pure love for Hip-Hop StoneyBrooks is back off a brief hiatus and approaching his craft with a full steam ahead mentality. This week he joined me on episode 303 to discuss some of this journey and where he’s heading from here with his music. Having dropped a new single titled “Cold December” in February and an album titled “One More Shot” in 2025, Stoney discussed how teaming up with our mutual connection @heydom803 has helped elevate the promotion and opportunities to get these releases heard by the right people. He talked about the importance of keeping consistency at the forefront of his work and the plans he has for new material in the near future as well as he aims to collaborate with other fellow independent artists on the next wave of tracks. I really respect the drive and hunger he’s been able to maintain and I’m really looking forward to seeing what is next in the arsenal for him the rest of 2026. Episode 302 - Caleigh Rose

This week I was joined by Nashville based singer and songwriter Caleigh Rose! We had a really inspiring conversation mostly centered around her most recent project titled “UNBECOMING”. The album marked a jump back into music after some time away from creating and Caleigh spoke with me about the personal journey it took to see it through from start to finish. She spoke about dedicating one of the tracks to her daughter and the ways it has boosted the bond and relationship they both share while Caleigh has also seen many more blessings come from the process of creating this body of work. I think what stood out to me most is how she spoke on standing her ground creatively and protecting her vision for the album even before she knew what the end result would look like. It takes a lot of courage to execute your specific goals to that level of preciseness and I tip my hat to Caleigh for making it a reality for herself. Episode 301 - Julian Jones

Julian Jones is the host of the incredible artist interview platform Loves Music and as a former guest of his show I wanted to return the favor this week by welcoming him to episode 301! We had another awesome conversation this week essentially flipping the script on guest and host roles as I learned more about Julian’s purpose for creating his platform. He told me about what he’s learned so far being a show runner and the amount of doors that have opened thanks to meeting new talented individuals each week. I think what makes Julian’s show so great is his ability to keep the love for the art and craft at the forefront and that is echoed throughout this interview as well. Episode 300 - The Other Guys

For the podcasts 300th episode I was honored to be joined by Joe from the amazing production duo The Other Guys! This was a really great conversation and the exact kind of interview that strongly represents this show as it was rooted in a love for music and life in general. Joe shared with me what it has meant to be able to produce full projects for artists like Skyzoo and Che Noir over the past few years while also crafting instrumental bodies of work such as the 2025 project “Summer ‘92”. This album was an ode to Joe’s late father and it was very inspiring to hear him discuss the process behind its creation and more importantly what it means to him and his family. He also revealed what he’s working on for the rest of 2026 and his long-term goals for the duo, their collective HiPNOTT Records and more.
