#41 Whoomp! There It Is! DC The Brain Supreme

Party people! DC The Brain Supreme joined me to talk about Tag Team's HUGE hit Whoomp! There It Is! that went multiple platinum in 1993. What an incredible story, from Chicago to Denver, to Atlanta, and then to the world. A song that almost didn't happen. DC talks about the success, the failures, what it's like to be called a "one hit wonder" and how he continues to hustle. Get some great life lessons from someone who's been at the top and seen what it's like to get screwed by the music industry and work their way back. I also answer a new "fan" from the TikTok comments section and, of course, the Mental Health Tip of the Day.

#40 Joker, OJ Simpson, & The Dark Triad

Does OJ Simpson have traits in the dark triad of psychopathy, narcissism, and machiavellianism? I define those terms and answer that question during the week that people remember OJ's legacy as one of the best running backs in football history, but also someone who divided America further also racial lines. But is OJ's trial really a race issue? You get my take on that. You might be surprised. I also talk about the new Joker Folie à Deux movie trailer that came out this week and my favorite movie Jokers. Then drop the top 5 actresses that could play Harley Quinn in this new dark Joker movie universe. And, of course, your MHToD sums everything up nicely.

    #39 Over Pathologizing Normal Behavior

    #39 Over Pathologizing Normal Behavior

Is Bill Maher right that we over pathologize normal behavior? In his New Rules from March 15, 2024 he makes the point that no one can just have feelings anymore, everything has to be a disease and uses a number of stats to back up his point. I go into details about those stats and give my take on whether he might be right about the over pathologizing of what could be considered just every day feelings that people go through. Love him or hate him, you can't ignore Bill Maher. So don't ignore my take on his take!
Also I say goodbye to the show's previous cohosts and an unexpected visitor makes an appearance. It's not what anyone thinks. And it's weird.
Plus your Mental Health Tip of the Day.
