Painting the Unexplained - Ralph Walters

Painting the Unexplained - Ralph Walters

Welcome back to The Q Files, in this episode, we'll be discussing the mystical, magical, and paranormal. Events and experiences that are often hard to describe with words. The overwhelming power of such an unusual experience is often processed instead as raw emotion, splintered memory, wonder, confusion or even horror.  How do we convey our own reality to others in truly persuasive and authentic communication?

For this episode, we have invited our very own Columbus artist, Ralph Walters, to talk with us about his new, exciting and unique project entitled, "Painting the Unexplained".  As Keith Haring once said, "Drawing is still basically the same as it has been since prehistoric times. It brings together man and the world. It lives... through magic".

For updates on Ralph's series, Painting the Unexplained, make sure you've liked The Q Files Facebook page.

Is This Spontaneous Human Combustion Or Am I Just Getting Warm?

Is This Spontaneous Human Combustion Or Am I Just Getting Warm?

Welcome back to The Q Files. In this episode we'll be sharing the fascinating history of spontaneous human combustion - also known as preternatural combustibility and auto-oxidation -  the idea that people can, while simply minding their own business, burst into flames, with no external source of ignition. The fire is believed to start within the body of the victim.

We all know the story: A seemingly perfectly normal person retires to bed for the evening, or they quietly drift off and nap in their favorite chair. While they sleep, they catch on fire and burn to ash. In the aftermath, the authorities can't find any discernible source of the blaze. Even stranger, the objects around the victim — aside from maybe their clothes, or the chair they were dozing in — are perfectly fine.

Fantastic, Thorough, LGBTQ Friendly and Ghostly!!

I love a podcast that has LGBTQ subject matter, hosts and ghosts! Being in the paranormal field myself, and desiring content that involves discussions regarding the queer ghost community, you might also be pleasantly surprised to find they cover very intriguing ghostly and curious matters that reach far beyond the realm of just queer ghost hunting, which is awesome in it’s own category, and intriguing, to say the least. The hosts are articulate, thorough and engaged. You can tell they research their stories and consider their audience. I came here to relate to other queer ghost hunters, and learn about queer and lesbian hauntings in relation to the paranormal, but left with so much more! Thank you and please continue your outstanding content!
