Matt Bomer Talks 'Outcome', working with Keanu Reeves & Cameron Diaz, and His Wildest Scenes Yet

This is the Queerty Interview, where we bring you conversations with the most exciting LGBTQ+ voices in entertainment, activism, and beyond. Cameron Scheetz, Entertainment Editor at Queerty, hosts today’s episode featuring Matt Bomer, who can currently be seen in the new dark comedy film Outcome. In the Jonah Hill directed film, Keanu Reeves plays a beloved actor named Reef Hawke, who embarks on an apology tour after a video from his past resurfaces that threatens to derail his career. His support system through the whole ordeal are his two best friends, played by Matt Bomer and Cameron Diaz. Naturally, Matt could not pass up the opportunity to work alongside Hollywood icons like Keanu and Cameron on set. The film’s semi-improvisational style also meant the trio grew close while filming, bringing a real chemistry to the screen that captures the decades-long bond of the characters. With Outcome now streaming on Apple TV+, Matt shares what he calls one of the most fun and free experiences he has ever had on a project. He also opens up about relating to his character’s coming out story and reveals that there is practically a whole other movie’s worth of deleted scenes featuring him and Cameron Diaz that were too raunchy and too wild, even for an R rating. Dan Levy & Taylor Ortega Break Down 'Big Mistakes', Dark Comedy & Queer Representation

This is the Queerty Interview, where we bring you conversations with the most exciting LGBTQ+ voices in entertainment, activism, and beyond. Cameron Scheetz, Entertainment Editor at Queerty, hosts today’s episode featuring Dan Levy and Taylor Ortega, the stars of the new Netflix series Big Mistakes. Believe it or not, it was over a decade ago that Schitt’s Creek first premiered, the beloved series that made Dan Levy a household name and a four-time Emmy winner all on the same night. Now, for his follow-up TV project, the actor and filmmaker has taken on a different kind of family comedy, one that is just as funny, but much, much darker. In Big Mistakes, Dan stars as Nicky Dardano, a gay suburban priest who would have his congregation believe he is celibate, even though that is definitely not the case. Of course, that is just one little white lie compared to the mess he and his sister Morgan get into, which quickly snowballs from petty theft into an entire underworld of organized crime. Upping the stakes further, their mom, played by the great Laurie Metcalf, is running for mayor, so, you know, no pressure. And while Dan will be the first to tell you that crime is harder than it looks, he had some help from his fabulous co-star Taylor Ortega. She has previously been a scene stealer in projects like Ghost and Another Simple Favor, but this feels like the breakout role she has long deserved. Taylor and Dan have incredible bickering sibling chemistry on the show, which you will also get a taste of in this conversation. Megan Stalter on Hacks Ending, Queer Comedy & Running for President?

This is the Queerty Interview, where we bring you conversations with the most exciting LGBTQ+ voices in entertainment, activism, and beyond. Cameron Scheetz, Entertainment Editor at Queerty, hosts today’s episode featuring the hilarious Megan Stalter ahead of the fifth and final season of Hacks. Since the beloved Emmy-winning comedy premiered in 2021, Megan has established herself as one to watch. She plays the scene-stealing Kayla, a former assistant at Deborah Vance’s management company, whose frequently questionable but always well-intentioned methods have helped her climb the ranks in the industry. Now working alongside her former boss Jimmy, played by Paul W. Downs, Megan reflects on her time with the show. She credits Hacks, and specifically Paul, for giving her the career she has today, sharing what it’s meant to act opposite him and learn from him every step of the way. And while we wouldn’t dare spoil where things go in this final season, we had to ask Megan what she thinks Kayla’s idea of a happy ending would be, which, of course, involves Jimmy. Megan was also recently a guest of honor at the annual Queerties Awards, where she received the Vanguard Award, recognizing her work as one of the leading queer voices in comedy. On the red carpet, she told us that if the night goes well, she might consider a run for president. Naturally, we had a few follow-up questions. 4. Alexander Skarsgård and Harry Melling on Pillion, Kink, Comedy, and Queer Love

Alexander Skarsgård and Harry Melling on Pillion, Kink, Comedy, and Queer Love

In this episode of the Queerty Interview, Cameron sits down with Alexander Skarsgård and Harry Melling to talk about Pillion, their bold and unexpectedly tender new gay romantic comedy. Directed by first-time feature filmmaker Harry Lighton, Pillion tells a love story unlike any other. Melling stars as Colin, a shy, directionless young man still living with his parents, whose life changes after he catches the eye of Ray, a confident and commanding biker played by Skarsgård. What begins as an erotic plunge into BDSM culture reveals itself to be something far sweeter — a sharp, funny, and surprisingly heartfelt exploration of power, intimacy, and connection. With Pillion now playing in select theaters, Skarsgård and Melling open up about their hilarious first meeting, working alongside their scene-stealing dog co-stars, and what they learned from the real-life Gay Bikers Motorcycle Club, who consulted on and appear in the film. Pillion is also a nominee for Best Comedy Movie at the 2026 Queerties, Queerty’s annual awards celebrating the best in LGBTQ+ pop culture. If you loved the film, show your support by casting your vote! You can vote once per day, every day, through February 17. Head to Queerty.com and help crown this year’s queer favorites.
