54 episodes

Movie podcast co-hosted by Justin Gott and Pete Conway. Each episode centers on a single movie that is a blindspot for Justin, so it's his very first time seeing it. Pete, on the other hand, is a big fan and he's revisiting it. This makes them polar opposites in how they approach the viewing of the movie and their observations are often just as unique!

    Gremlins 2: The New Batch

In this episode, the return of Pete coincides with the return of some crazy critters who you should never get wet or feed after midnight - it's Joe Dante's 1990 horror comedy sequel Gremlins 2: The New Batch!

Pete remains on a hiatus so Justin was fortunate to be joined by Boston film critic (and former guest of the podcast) Andy Crump!

In this episode, we getta bloomin' move on as we follow around a crew of thieves working the biggest job Europe has ever seen in the 1969 British comedy caper THE ITALIAN JOB. Pete remains on a hiatus so Justin was fortunate to be joined by the very British podcaster Jay Cluitt, host of The Deep Blue Sea Podcast!

We discussed general thoughts and observations on the movie through all of our categories: "You Already Know," "Let's Check It Out," "Like a Virgin," "Double Rainbow," "The Good Son-off," and "Parting Shots." "Remake This!" took a break this week for reasons we go into during the episode.

    Carrie (w/Jacob Johnston)

In this week's episode, we celebrate the 45th anniversary of a prom that no one will ever forget (mostly because there's no survivors) as we discuss the horror classic CARRIE. Pete is on a hiatus so Justin was fortunate to be rejoined by Jacob Johnston, the director of the 2021 horror film, DREAMCATCHER and guest on our episode on NIGHT OF THE HUNTER!

Films discussed during "Whatcha Been Watching Lately": ANTLERS and LAST NIGHT IN SOHO (the latter of which we discuss in much greater - and spoilerific - details at the very end of the episode).

Timeless!

A big aspect of this podcast is its flexible nature, as you can either take the Justin approach and watch it for the first time, and get all the first impressions, or you can be Pete, rewatch a movie and experience the reviews and gain a whole new perspective on the movie.

Also, the best aspect is how timeless it is. If you don’t get a chance to watch the movie, you are able to watch it when you get a chance and then go back to the podcast, or if you recognize a movie you’re seeing from seeing it on the podcast, you can always go back and watch it! Or, you can experience it right alongside Justin and Pete and watch a new movie every week, and enjoy the fun! It is always a struggle finding out what to watch each time you sit on the couch, so why not let a podcast pick at least night a week for you!
