The RD2BE Podcast - ACEND Accredited Dietetics Program Directory Ft. Jamie Pak (ACEND Series pt.12)

We have a unique episode that we recommend you both listen to and watch. That is because we sit down with Jamie Pak, Senior Accreditation Manager at the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics to learn how to navigate the ACEND Accredited Dietetics Program Directory. This directory is the one stop shop for navigating accredited dietetics program. However, we understand how daunting and confusing it can be knowing where to start. Pak, who was instrumental in its current design, demonstrates the most effective ways to use it based on your starting point. We discuss certain "case studies" of what types of students would use it for finding what programs (i.e. second career, freshman in college, community college, etc.). Timestamps for the case studies 25:14 Second career with a bachelor's degree in an unrelated field, no graduate training 34:11 Freshman in college, undecided major 38:52 Junior in college, related major to dietetics (i.e. Exercise Science), but looking to switch to dietetics (if your university offers a dietetics degree vs. does not offer a dietetics degree) 45:08 Community college and transferring to a 4-year university to complete dietetics degree 51:00 Second career, with both a bachelor's and master's degree in unrelated field ACEND Program Directory: https://www.eatrightpro.org/acend/accredited-programs/program-directoryQuestions, comments, or feedback for ACEND?
