    Peace in a Time of Violence

    Today, Bailey takes time to process the shocking violence our nation has witnessed in recent days. These events stir fear, grief, and anger—but as followers of Jesus, we know there is more happening than meets the eye. Scripture reminds us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). In the middle of fear and uncertainty, we cling to the promise of Jesus: “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). And when anxiety threatens to overwhelm us, we rest in the peace of God that “transcends all understanding” (Philippians 4:6–7). Join us as we pray for those affected, call on God to heal our nation, and anchor our hope in the victory of Christ. Even in the darkest times, He is still on the throne—and His peace is stronger than the chaos around us.
