Remark presents The Remarkable Podcast: 20 Years of Sounds

Launched in 2006, Remark presents The Remarkable Podcast began as a DJ mix series rooted in electronic music, late-night culture, and a deep respect for curation and flow. Over the past two decades, it has evolved into a long-running creative platform exploring dance music, storytelling, and the emotional architecture of sound. Throughout 2026, the podcast’s 20th anniversary has been commemorated with a series of special releases honouring both the archive and the present moment. In January, the 25th-anniversary remaster of Remark’s landmark mix Transmission was meticulously restored and refined while preserving its original spirit. February introduced Remark Sunday Selections, a curated series bringing standout moments from the Remark Sunday Sessions livestream archive to the podcast feed, with additional selections continuing throughout the year. In April, Remark presents Pet Shop Boys: Encomium III was released, continuing Remark’s acclaimed tribute to the enduring influence of Pet Shop Boys. Then, in May, Remark Reunion: Live in Orlando 1996–2026 captured the energy of a special hometown performance, recorded live as Remark returned to the city where his DJ career first began. The anniversary programme culminates in August with an exclusive in-depth interview featuring Remark, reflecting on more than three decades behind the decks and 20 years of Remark presents The Remarkable Podcast. Interviewer and fellow musician and friend Matt Oak explores the evolution of Remark's DJ career, the creative process behind his long-form mixes, the role of narrative in electronic music, and the personal milestones that have shaped both the podcast and the artist behind it. More than simply looking back, the 20th anniversary celebrates an ongoing creative journey—connecting past, present, and future through sound. What began as a single DJ mix series has grown into a lasting body of work, sustained by curiosity, reinvention, and a global community of listeners who continue to share in Remark’s musical journey. Remark presents Pet Shop Boys: Encomium III 1986 – 2026

In 2016, Remark presents Pet Shop Boys: Encomium 1986–2016 was released to celebrate 30 years of Pet Shop Boys. Recorded live in Edinburgh for the event Pet Shop Boys Symposium, the continuous DJ mix featured more than three hours of remixed hits spanning every album across their multi-decade career. Whilst many notable tracks were included, some significant favourites were inevitably missed. So in 2018 the duo’s remarkable catalogue was revisited and Encomium II debuted — packed with additional hits, rarities, remixes, and collaborations. Encomium I and II remain among the some of the most-listened-to mixes ever featured on Remark’s Soundcloud and The Remarkable Podcast. Fast forward to 2026 and we’re now celebrating 40 years of Pet Shop Boys’ contributions to music, art, pop, and the dance floor. Recently this most successful British pop duo of all time have been touring globally with their Dreamworld concert, and in April they’re performing an exclusive London event called Obscure, dedicated to rarities, exclusives, and B-sides. What better way to mark the occasion than releasing Remark presents Pet Shop Boys: Encomium III — featuring even more hits, remixed deep cuts, b-sides, and material from the years since the previous Encomium releases. This four-hour remarkable journey explores iconic tracks, obscure mixes, and a deep dive into the duo’s expansive four-decade catalogue. For completeness, be sure to revisit Remark presents Pet Shop Boys: Encomium I and II, and read more about Remark’s relentless, passionate fandom at remarkcentral.info/psb.
