    Formed in 1981, Jason and the Nashville Scorchers emerged from small punk rock clubs in Nashville and quickly became an international sensation. Often credited with inventing"cowpunk", they toured with everyone from the Ramones, Circle Jerks, and The Replacements, to Stevie Ray Vaughn, Cheap Trick, and Joe Cocker.
