    S2 EP5: VOGUE, SUSTAINABILITY AND SHAKING UP THE FASHION INDUSTRY ft. Patrick McDowell

    After a little break we are BACK with another incredible guest episode: the queer, sustainable fashion designer Patrick McDowell!!!! Patrick McDowell grew up in Liverpool and first understood the importance of fashion at school after upcycling a new school bag. Patrick went on to study Fashion at the world renowned Central Saint Martin’s in London where his career skyrocketed, and since his name has been on the lips of fashion royalty, Anna Wintour, as well as creating collaborations with icons such as Katharine Hamnett and the one and only GC, Gemma Collins. Patrick McDowell is also a Global Ambassador for Graduate Fashion Week and the Sustainability Director for the Italian fashion house Pinko (there really isn’t a lot they don’t/can’t do). In this weeks episode we go around the houses and really do discuss anything and everything from the importance of fashion and a creative education, how sustainability impacts us all, what it’s like to be nominated for a Vogue Award and creating a collection during lockdown. We are SO grateful that Patrick took the time to talk to us this week so openly and so candidly. We had the best time ever and we know you will too!!!     For our final episode of this series we wanted to treat you to an extra special guest and they don’t get more special than this one!  Will is a makeup artist and content creator, founder and face of his own social media beauty platform “SnatchedByWill”.  In less than a year, SnatchedByWill has reached over 100K followers on TikTok and his worldwide fanbase continues to grow daily.  At just 20 years old, not only is Will an internet sensation and a genius creative talent, he is also the most humble and lovely person!  Our conversation with Will perfectly summed up all that The Sample Cupboard is about; acceptance, having a laugh, following your dreams and not giving a shit what anyone else thinks!  We were so excited to have him with us in The Sample Cupboard to close out Series 1!  We know you’ll fall in love with him just as much as we did.  The perfect end to a perfect series!!!
