126 - Dormiveglia with Darkonius Mavakar and Awesome3475

This week's guests are two members of the team behind Dormiveglia, one of my favorite games of this year's Sonic Amateur Games Expo. Dormiveglia is a 2D Metroidvania style game starring Quinn, the young whip-wielding hero of Spring Plaza. After their village is ransacked by the mysterious Somnia, Quinn quickly sets out to chase after her. Since the game is currently on Kickstarter trying to get funding for its completion, Darkonius Mavakar and Awesome3475 are here to tell us more about the origins and future of this project.

125 - Marta Camilo of SEGA of Europe

My guest this week is a fellow Portuguese who's been working at SEGA of Europe for six years now and is currently a Senior Designer. She is also a Twitch streamer in her spare time, and a very entertaining one at that. We talk about her gaming experience, how she got a job "making pretty pictures for the interwebs", and a stupidly hard SEGA Lounge Challenge gives Marta a run for her money... or is it the other way around? Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Marta, Marta Camilo.

This past week, I've used my personal Twitch account (twitch.tv/kc_radioman) to showcase some of the indie titles being presented at this year's SAGE. In case you missed them, here are the VODs:

124 - Carson aka Neo Hazard of SAGE 2020

The SEGA Lounge has officially reopened for business. This week, and it's a Lounge tradition already, we're covering SAGE, the Sonic Amateur Games Expo 2020. It's a special one, not only for the sheer amount of fan games and indie games that will be showcased, but also because it's the event's 20th anniversary. So you can definitely expect it to be bigger and better than ever. SAGE 2020 takes place from September 5th to September 12th, and it's a pleasure to have Carson, aka Neo Hazard, on the show to discuss it. Stick around for some interesting points regarding what makes this year's event so unique, what Carson thinks of the evolution of SAGE throughout the years and a crazy challenge, as always.

This week, we're going back in time to May 2018 and re-airing an interview with Michael Corker, former editor of Sonic the Comic Online. The comic was celebrating 25 years of existence at the time and Michael went on RadioSEGA's The Manic Monday Show to talk about the original physical comic, the online version that came after it, and more.

    BONUS: Scott Strichart

It's time to go into the vault and bring out another not-so-new chat. Back in April 2018, I had the chance to talk to Scott Strichart, localization producer of the Yakuza series. At the time, I divided the interview into two parts, with one of them airing in April, close to the release of Yakuza 6, and the second one airing in May. The latter focused more on Yakuza Kiwami 2, which would be released later that year. The two parts of the interview were compiled into one and now you get the chance to either listen to it for the first time or, if you're a RadioSEGA listener, relive it.

    BONUS: OSC

This week I'm bringing back an interview first aired on RadioSEGA's The Manic Monday Show on the 26th of February 2018. The person I interviewed is Steve, aka OSC. He is a long time collaborator of mine doing music for RadioSEGA shows as well as being the director of one of the station's remix albums. He was also kind enough to do the amazing remix that serves as the theme song for the current season of The SEGA Lounge and to allow me to use some bits of his works throughout different parts of the episodes.

It's good

It's alright for what it is and I enjoyed listening to it for the most part and found it entertaining to listen to the hosts interact with the guest(s)

Unfair Outdated Reviews

Two out of the three reviews for this show, while might have been valid 4 years ago, do not reflect the show’s more recent quality. The mixing was fixed, and this show doesn’t deserve the 3.0 rating that it had as of before my review. I do hope that you give the show a listen, and ignore the low ratings, as despite the audio mixing being an issue four years ago, it doesn’t reflect the show’s fascinating interviews and accompanying content. KC, you rock!

Very Poor Mix

This show is almost unlistenable. There is music constantly playing in the background that is mixed to be louder than the interviewers and interviewees. I tuned in for a specific interview and found it to be an extremely frustrating experience. I think the show would be good if they just either removed the background music while people are speaking or greatly lowered the volume of the background music to the point where you can easily hear the people speaking.
