    The Yukon Senior Games is coming to Yukon, Oklahoma on April the 10th – 18th, 2026 … it’s a 1980’s theme this year! The opening ceremonies are on April 10th with a big 80s festival! The opening ceremonies are free— free food, entertainment, and socialization. You can’t get more “RAD” than that! This is a very entertaining event and it’s all about community involvement—whether you are a competitor or spectator. It’s a great time to be social and move those bodies! The Oklahoma Senior Journal is a proud sponsor to the Yukon Senior Games and the OSJ magazines will be handed out at the events! Patrick Langley Patrick Langley is a Special Operations Supervisor for the City of Yukon Parks and Recreation Department, where he leads the planning and execution of major community events.     Don’t Roll the Dice on Your Health… The Oklahoma Senior Journal will be talking through Zoom with Bobbie Gray Diffee-Gunn (my very informative Mom) on Health issues from a personal standpoint point on Balance & Falling. My Mom fell on May 4th, 2025 and then again in September of 2025, requiring two major surgeries. Mom is in an assisted living temporarily until she’s sustains her independence back. This OSJ Radio Show is on prevention and what you can do before and after a fall. Vital information coming from someone who has experienced a fall. The Oklahoma Senior Journal was started out of a personal need in our family over 34 years ago. My mom was taking care of her mom and and needed some resources to help her in the care so therefore the Oklahoma Senior Journal was birth and born. It was a love letter to my mom and grandmother and has continued now for over 34 years. My mom is 91 now and is loved and adored by her for children. Our dad passed away five years ago with dimension Alzheimer’s, which we all pitched in to work Together on his care. This show is going to be on balance and falling for those that are 50 and over. Coach for 25 years and holds the record for the Winning’s Coach (OU Coach), and she brags on all the hard work of the winningest players with the OU basketball girls and Sherri along with the OU basketball girls put them on the map. Sherri Coale is a native Oklahoman who grew up about thirty miles to the right side of the Red River in Healdton, Oklahoma. In 1987 after a highly successful collegiate career at Oklahoma Christian, she hung up her high tops, moving from the court to the sideline as she began what would become a Hall of Fame career as a Women’s Basketball Coach. For 25 years, Sherri Coale served as the head women’s basketball coach at the University of Oklahoma where she is the winningest women’s basketball coach in OU history. Sherri is an author, a master motivator, an engaging speaker, a gifted writer, and a keen observer of everyday life.
