    It’s just the girls this week as Ari Kiki and Viki Villainess hold it down while DJ is away. Ari is feeling the pressure from work and contemplating some new tattoo inspiration, because sometimes the only way to deal with stress is permanent ink and a little chaos. Meanwhile, Viki is living her best fashion fantasy and sharing stories from her work with Dior, and yes, the girls want all the glamorous details. For Flaming Topics, things are a little lighter this week (well… lighter by Shade Parade standards). We get into the latest headlines surrounding Britney Spears after reports of a new DUI arrest, spiral briefly into the something sick, sad, and suspicious happening in the government (again), and then cleanse our spirits by talking about some of our favorite movies, shoes, and Broadway shows that are currently giving us life. Over in nightlife news, beloved queer venue Lambda Lounge Brooklyn gets raided on its final night in business, raising a lot of questions about what really went down. We also unpack the disturbing news out of Kansas, where the state has moved to revoke driver’s licenses from trans residents and we’ve got legal questions (and a lot of outrage). And in the most dystopian brand collaboration of the week, Spotify teams up with Liquid Death to launch a musical urn so you can literally take your playlist into the afterlife. On the business side of the shade, Viki breaks down a new social media strategy now that TikTok’s ownership situation has shifted toward Oracle, and what that could mean for creators, reach, and staying visible in a chaotic algorithm era.
