We make an average of 35,000 decisions everyday. It's no wonder, when it comes to making big or important decisions we can feel almost paralyzed at times. Even the small decisions can feel heavy.

Indecision can hold you back from so many things. What I've found from working with hundreds of moms is that the biggest hurdle to simplify is just making decisions.

Do I want to get rid of this? Will I need it in the future? Will my kids suffer if I take them out of some activities? Should I homeschool or send my kids to public school?

On top of the daily decisions we make, everything is constantly changing. Our kids keep growing. Jobs change. Stages of life change. The discipline that worked one day, no longer works the next.

In this episode of The Simple Home Podcast we'll talk about change, making decisions, and allowing for the unexpected. I'll tell you about some big changes coming up over the next couple months in my life, how I've landed on the decisions I've made, and what it means for this podcast.

I believe that true simplicity can only be achieved through decisiveness. The understanding of what you want and allowing yourself to go after it. If you want a clutter free home, make decisions quickly on what to keep and what to let go of. If you want to save money, be decisive about what you are willing to spend money on and what you are willing to give up. And so on and so on.

098: Spruce Up Your Home, Body, and Mind (Interview with Hillary Zama)

If you're anything like me, you've gotten stuck on the hampster wheel of decluttering, organizing, decluttering, and organizing again.
I spent years wondering why I couldn't seem to get a handle on my clutter. Why I couldn't fnd a way to stay organized. And why my house kept filling up with different size storage containers. It wasn't until I finally figured out the underlying cause of all that clutter (over buying!) and a system for dealing with it, that I was able to find a life I loved under all that stuff.
Are you covered in clutter? Can't seem to stay organized?
What do you think? Have you tried a million different times to organize and haven’t quite landed on what works best for you? Just like everything else, it takes time, systems, and some motivation!
In this episode of The Simple Home Podcast, Hillary Zama from Spruce Up LLC teaches us how to Spruce up our space.
Hillary has simple steps she walks through with her clients as a professional organizer and she shares her secrets with us! Her heart is in helping woman get a handle on their space so they can simplify their homes, bodies, and minds. She works with each individual person, knowing that everyone has a unique home and lifestyle. You're going to love this interview!

Absolutely a joy to listen to

I’ve been binging episodes and I just absolutely love and agree with your outlook! It’s so refreshing to hear someone who is embracing and loving their role as a wife and mother. When she says “let’s be friends” it seems so sincere. I can’t wait to hear more.
