The Only QB Rankings That Matter This Year, Faking a Hole-In-One, and Other Absurd Stories

Send us Fan Mail Jason and Frankie are back to weekly with football finally here, kicking things off with fantasy league housekeeping before rolling into a full 2026 quarterback rankings segment. Josh Allen takes QB1, Frankie goes bold with Joe Burrow at two, and his Dak Prescott ranking at five gets the appropriate amount of grief. There's also a keeper debate for the ages of Rashee Rice in the sixth versus Tyler Warren in the sixteenth, and a genuinely great bit where the guys try to sort out whether Jason's dad Bruce actually still has Brock Purdy as a keeper (spoiler: he dropped him for five days last November and forgot). Then the news dump: Kirk Cousins and Maxx Crosby get into an actual practice-field fight in Vegas, Adam Vinatieri turns his Hall of Fame speech into a full roast, Carson Beck looks great in the Hall of Fame Game a week after the guys clowned Arizona's quarterback situation, and the Fat Kelce AI conspiracy officially gets debunked by Andy Reed himself. On the absurd side: a former NFL receiver gets arrested for having sex in a mall arcade, Akron is raffling off play-calling rights for its season opener and Robert Morris fans are buying tickets just to sabotage it, and a Hollywood, Florida steakhouse is now hosting monthly nude dinners. The back half is dominated by an incredible amateur golf cheating scandal where a guy fakes a hole-in-one to steal a hole-in-one pot of cash, plus Michael Block acting like Michael Block, and a wave of new running back contracts (Bijan, Jonathan Taylor, Gibbs) and the Cowboys locking up Quinnen Williams. Topics covered: 2026 fantasy quarterback rankings, Rasheed Rice vs. Tyler Warren keeper debate, Brock Purdy keeper mixup, Kirk Cousins/Maxx Crosby fight, Adam Vinatieri Hall of Fame speech, Carson Beck Hall of Fame Game, Fat Kelce AI debunked, Stedman Bailey arcade arrest, Akron football play-calling raffle, Florida nude steakhouse dinner, golf hole-in-one cheating scandal, Michael Block walk-off, Bijan Robinson/Jonathan Taylor/Jahmyr Gibbs/Quinnen Williams contract extensions. Free Tony Romo, LeBron Takes a Discount, and Squatter's Rights in a Porta-Potty

Send us Fan Mail Frankie's deep in fantasy commissioner hell trying to fill out a dying sleeper league, but the real story is what Jason's built with Claude: an AI that scraped both leagues' draft histories and roasted every manager by name, dragging Jeff's historically bad season, crowning Frankie the league's sharpest manager, and stonewalling Jason with suspicious silence. From there it's catch-up on Frankie's Newport Beach trip (an unfortunate bathroom mixup with his aunt, whale watching, Kobe's old neighborhood, and a NeeDoh-squishie shipping crisis) before diving into a stacked news week: the 49ers' substation curse claims Ricky Pearsall again, Arizona's training camp looks like a blooper reel, and Jerry Jones teases a "substantive trade" that leads Jason into a wild Matthew Berry story about talking his way onto Jerry's team bus. Then the big ones: Baker Mayfield's contract standoff with Tampa, and an extended, gleeful breakdown of Tony Romo's DUI arrest: the field sobriety stretches, the body cam footage, and the internet sleuths who discovered all four of his "grandma and grandpa" are actually deceased. LeBron's cut-rate move to Philly gets picked apart (including the fact that an ex-Iowa State kid is outearning him), the WNBA's gambling controversy gets a real dressing-down, and the show closes with its best segment in weeks: a full CSI-style investigation into the Kansas City man who spent eight hours trapped in a porta-potty tank allegedly chasing a Mountain Dew. Topics covered: fantasy football AI league analysis, Newport Beach trip stories, 49ers substation/Ricky Pearsall injury, Arizona Cardinals training camp, Jerry Jones trade tease, Baker Mayfield/Vita Vea contract drama, Tony Romo DUI arrest, LeBron James to 76ers, WNBA gambling controversy, MLB Tarik Skubal trade to Dodgers, Kansas City porta-potty Mountain Dew story, Colombia movie theater fart evacuation. Bryson Throws a Fit, Tom Brady's Midlife Crisis, and Taco Bell Goes to Court

Send us Fan Mail Jason survives a scorching 97-degree Des Moines City golf tournament (81-85, just barely outside the cut) while Frankie throws his 15-year-old Yorkie an actual birthday party, complete with her experiencing beer pong being held one-handed by Frankie. From there it's straight into golf drama: Bryson DeChambeau gets nailed with a controversial after-the-fact penalty at The Open for allegedly stomping down fescue, gets ripped by Rory McIlroy, and fires back with a photoshopped "levitating" tweet. Meanwhile a 39-year-old nobody named Ryan Fox wins the whole thing, and turns a someone's $55 bet into six figures. Then things get dark and weird fast: Conor McGregor's knee gives out 20 seconds into his UFC fight against Max Holloway, and the guys dig into whether he knew he was hurt going in. Tom Brady continues his bizarre WWE cosplay era, popping out of an Undertaker-style coffin and whiffing a slap on Logan Paul. Cowboys talk covers Schottenheimer's bold Super Bowl guarantee and a jacked-up Dak Prescott photo, plus the Bears' new problem: a Hallmark Christmas movie filming downtown in a heat wave. Plus: the great Taco Bell diarrhea lawsuit, a Florida woman's unfortunately-worded license plate (and the guys' own real-life "tapping it" story), the Hurricanes' owner engraving his kids' names on the Stanley Cup ahead of the actual players, and Jamie Pollard's surprise retirement as Iowa State's "endowed" athletic director. Topics covered: Bryson DeChambeau penalty, Ryan Fox Open Championship win, Conor McGregor injury, Tom Brady/Logan Paul WWE feud, Brian Schottenheimer Super Bowl guarantee, Von Miller Cowboys tease, Hallmark Bears Christmas movie, Caleb Williams QB rankings, Cam Skattebo backflip, Taco Bell lawsuit, Florida license plate, Hurricanes Stanley Cup engraving, Jamie Pollard retirement, Post Malone Hawkeyes gear at Jack Trice. A Ghanaian Witch Doctor, Phil Mickelson Antics, and a Drug Lord Arrested by a Mascot

Send us Fan Mail Week two with our AI assistant and he's already doing better work, though he's still on a short leash. We open with World Cup chaos: a controversial red card overturned after rumors of a Trump phone call, a Ghanaian witch doctor who allegedly cursed Harry Kane, an England fan who went completely off-grid for ten days in Barcelona and became the subject of an international manhunt without knowing it, and a South American drug lord who got arrested by undercover cops hiding inside World Cup mascot costumes. Then the golf world delivers two absolute gems. Wyndham Clark's decade-old tweet about Baker Mayfield resurfaces where it turns out Baker slept with his girlfriend back in college, and Wyndham handles the reveal about as awkwardly as humanly possible. And Phil Mickelson's ongoing PR disaster gets worse: the story of him getting booted from a country club mid-round for an inappropriate advance, plus the now-infamous allegation that he showed Pat Perez's wife an unsolicited photo with a very direct proposition. We also break down the PGA Tour's new relegation/promotion format coming in 2028. Plus: Diana Rossini's scandal keeps growing (body cam footage, name-dropping Kevin O'Connell to dodge a ticket), ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller's stunning fall from grace as an alleged serial fantasy football scammer running 90+ fake charity leagues, Brandon Aiyuk torching bridges with Jayden Daniels on his way out of San Francisco, and a full review of the Scott Atkins B-movie "Savage Dog" — Nazis, folding swords, and a narrator who keeps talking after he dies. Topics covered: World Cup 2026, Ghana witch doctor, Wyndham Clark, Baker Mayfield, Phil Mickelson, PGA Tour relegation, Diana Rossini, Kevin O'Connell, J.J. McCarthy, fantasy football scams, Matt Miller ESPN, Brandon Aiyuk, Jayden Daniels, Scott Atkins, Savage Dog movie review. AI Takes Over the Podcast, Wyndham Clark Takes the Open, and Scotland Takes All the Beer

Send us Fan Mail This week we introduce the newest member of the team: Claude. Yes, an AI. Yes, he already screwed up on day one by mixing up Carnell Tate with Luther Burden. We're keeping him on probation. Jason breaks down how he's been building out a full AI-powered podcast prep system with automated topic research, a visual dashboard, scheduled jobs that run while he sleeps. Frankie reacts in real time to how weird and impressive it all is. It's the future, whether we like it or not. Then we pivot to the U.S. Open, where Wyndham Clark went wire-to-wire at Shinnecock to win his second title even though the crowd spent four days trying to will him into a bunker. Scottie Scheffler's birthday/grand slam story ends in heartbreak. Sam Burns's putt on 17 still hurts. And Wyndham's mental performance coach had to walk off the course because she couldn't take it. We get into all of it. Plus: World Cup chaos (Scotland drank Boston dry, the TSA issued official ranch dressing travel instructions, and Spain ties Cape Verde as a -1200 favorite), Father's Day pickleball with the crew, Jason's boat at Red Rock, the Knicks parade looking like the seventh circle of hell, UFC at the White House, Cowboys updates, and a Scott Atkins movie review teaser for next week. Topics covered: AI and podcasting, U.S. Open, Wyndham Clark, Scottie Scheffler, World Cup 2026, Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, George Pickens, pickleball, NBA Finals, UFC White House event, Taylor Swift wedding, Iowa State basketball.
