    Messner was born on April 11, 1970 in Syracuse, New York. He lived in Europe for 13 years while his father served in the United States Air Force, mainly in Germany and England. During this time, he developed a love for sports while playing on teams at military bases. Messner bounced between New York and Los Angeles working as a bartender until landing several key roles that catapulted him to acting professionally. He is probably best known for his work in the films Tears of the Sun, The Whole Ten Yards and Hostage, and in the TV series Guiding Light , Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Cold Case. He struggled with substance abuse well into his thirties until experimenting with plant medicine opened up his consciousness to living life instead of running from it.

    October of 2018, Sammy Baptista retired professional skateboarder, was seriously burned in an accident suffering 2nd to 4th degree burns on over 40 percent of his body. He was in a medically induced coma for 16 days. All of this while his wife, Stacy was 9 months pregnant. When he awoke after nearly 3 weeks he was called to translating his experience into art and a path to service in helping others.

    Wesley Geer is a professional guitar player, songwriter, recording artist, and producer, who signed his first record deal to Jive Records with the band he founded, (Hed) P.E.. Wes toured the world for nearly a decade, and the band sold over 1 million records worldwide. He also lived a rock star’s lifestyle with full blown addiction and self- destructive behavior. After a long pause from music Wes got sober and found his path to service in teaching music and eventually joining Korn in 2010.

    After touring the world several times over Geer was then moved to give back, wanting to create something that could help people who struggled the same way he had. He then founded Rock to Recovery (R2R), a non-profit organization created in late 2012 with the purpose of providing those in various types of treatment and recovery programs the cathartic, uplifting, healing experience of connectivity through music.

Mental spiritual health

Thank goodness for this podcast. I had no idea I was going through a spiritual awaking. As a mental health provider myself, this content needs to find its way into how we treat certain cases of mental health.
