#20 Pat Casey - Community, Adventure, Balance

Today we have an amazing guest. He's a man who followed his passion for cycling and I'm talking about none other than Pat Casey, the co-owner of Peak State Fit, a bike fitting, coaching, and nutrition company, alongside his wife, Heather. But Pat's journey into the world of bikes didn't follow the conventional path. In fact, he initially pursued med school, However, a sudden change of heart led him to embark on an incredible adventure—a cross-country bike ride that's nothing short of awe-inspiring. Pat's story is a testament to the notion that life's greatest adventures often lie just beyond the beaten path. He dropped out of college, traded in his textbooks for a bike, and hasn't looked back since. Today, he races professionally with EMPYR Cycling, and he shares his story into cycling stating in St. Louis. But this episode is about more than just racing. We delve deep into the heart of the cycling community, exploring the mental health benefits of cycling, and the delicate balance between the love for the bike and the thief of joy, comparison. It's a conversation that will resonate with cyclists and non-cyclists alike.

#19 Stella Trincado - Reiki and Community

Stella is back on for her 2nd time with me. She was my first ever guest here and it’s been a little over a year since then. It was great to catch up and get to see how your studio is coming along, the trainings she holds and more offerings that she is bringing into her practice. We talk about being able to sit with yourselves, getting away from the constant stimulation of our world, and knowing that we can be a safe container in our relationships and that we don’t need to be the actual tool to fix something. #18 Brandon Nelson - Goals, Change, and Lotoja

In this conversation I sit down with a fellow local from Idaho Falls, Brandon Nelson or has he’s known around town, Noodle. Brandon is an absolute maniac on the bike and one of the strongest guys I know. I have been inspired by Brandon since the beginning of my cycling experience and he continues to inspire not only me, but anyone I talk to from the area. #17 Kyle McFarland - More Bikes

Kyle Mcfarland is back for the 2nd time on the podcast. We discuss how his race season has been going as well as the season for his athletes at white pine athletics. We talk a lot about the bike community especially around the gravel scene and what’s currently happening on the pro stage within the sport. We spend some time talking about the mental health side of the sport and some ways we have managed it and how he coaches his junior riders as they navigate their relationship with the sport. It was really good to catch up with Kyle after a busy summer for both of us and hope y’all enjoy this one

#16 Marcus Catlett - Burnout, Imposters, and The Suffer

On this week’s episode I was able to sit down with Marcus Catlett. An incredible cinematographer, DP, creative, skier, rock climber, and fellow lover of the suffer. I have had the opportunity to work around Marcus on a few occasions and have been following his media creations for some time which has allowed me to follow his career and witness him in his field. He is one honestly one of the most talented people I know. In this conversation we discuss working in the industry, burnout in work and life, how to manage imposter syndrome, and dealing with anxiety inside and outside of work. He is coming off a rowdy and jammed pack winter of constant shooting out in the mountains that produced some absolutely incredible work. We discuss the suffer and what draws us to it, his world in climbing and his recent accent of a 22 pitch climb here in the Wasatch called Squaw Struck, the second longest bolted route in the US. We talk about balancing out life and keeping priorities in check around our hobbies and work especially when they start to bleed into each other.

#15 TJ Eisenhart - Manifestation, Creation, Being Your Own Favorite Hero

This week I was able to sit down with TJ Eisenhart in his studio and hear about everything going on with Imaginary Collective, his art, story and a touch into his creative process. I have been following TJ for a few years now and have always been stoked on everything he has been doing. His brand and team, Imaginary Collective, brings so much uniqueness and creativity to the cycling space and outside of it. His passion in art and manifesting the life you want, built around the importance of placing your priorities where they should be in the life you want to create is incredibly contagious. #14 Cole Milligan - Have Fun, Say Yes, and Learn When to Say No

This week I was able to sit down with Cole Milligan, a fixie guy and co-founder of twentythree.five, a company that offers creative and marketing services that includes branding and design, web design, video production, photography, SEO, social media, copywriting, and advertising. This is another fun look into the entrepreneurial world. We talk about his experience in the fixie community that includes him and his buddies flying to NYC to chase a life in riding bikes with bike messengers, the famous 999 ride in SLC, life in the creative industry and the importance of saying yes in life to experience as much as you can then learning the proper time to start saying no.

#13 Nic Carnazzo - Comparing and Views on Success

To get it back on track I was able to sit down with Nic Carnazzo a few weeks and happy to have this one out! Nic and I come from the same town and I have been following him and his fiancé, AJ Cutler who was episode #8, through social media over the years and Nic puts out some incredible work. We talk about his life into the creative and outdoor world starting out around horses. We discuss our personal definition of success in the freelance and creative world and how to navigate our relationships with comparing ourselves to others in the space and how he prepares for a career jump.
