Harrison Bergeron (Short Story - Kurt Vonnegut - 1961)

In this episode, we do a reading of Kurt Vonnegut's 1961 dystopian short story called "Harrison Bergeron". Believe me, its a SHORT story, but it packs a lot into it. We discuss how the future government of Kurt Vonnegut's imagination mirrors what we may see on the horizon in real life. Read along if you like, from the link of the text provided below, and check out the 1995 Film of the same name, based on the book, that I will link to below as well.

    Political Relativism

    Political Relativism

We all have boomercon relatives or progressive friends who are annoyingly political but sometimes we feel compelled to agree with them given some set of circumstances. This is called political relativism. Its pretty basic concept but often enough, especially in times of highly contested opinion, its easy for libertarians to fall into one camp or another. As long as we strive to adhere to the direction of objective morality, and not moral relativism, then our secondary politics can shift from time to time to conform to the objective pursuit of the abstinence of immorality.  Nick, the producer, attempts to explain this philosophy in a way that even he might understand. Fingers crossed. Thanks for listening!

Our Patience For The Feds Is Wearing Thin

Been a while since we’ve done a current events show, and some very important things are going on, so here it is, you degenerates.  I talk about Biden’s nationally televised temper tantrum, my own thoughts on the v@x, natural immunity, and so on.  I also talk a little about 9/11, twenty years on, from a little different perspective than you’re probably used to hearing on podcasts in this orbit.
    Thanks for listening.

For the young people

I appreciate the history episodes about Ireland, Iran, Weimar and Gun Control. I appreciate the complex thinking and sticking to the libertarian philosophy. The episode about the joining the military was also important to me because I have a younger brother joining. Even though the direction is going to be more history episodes, I hope there will be more episodes toward the young people to be leaders and to control their future.
