The Calcium and Cardiac connect
Dr. Chien-Chang Chen from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences in Academia Sincia talks about how calcium in our heart cells is important for cardiac structure and function. how the mouse animal model is well-suited to study calcium signalling in the heart and brain and how pain is regulated by calcium in the brain via a similar pathway as in the heart.

Viruses are probably the simplest and most dangerous lie forms with an enormous capacity for mutation and adaptability. With increased mobility and development of the human race, many long gone viruses are making a comeback. Dr. Dr.Wen Chang, Research Fellow at the Institute of Molecular Biology. discusses various viruses, how they evolved, what is the reason we see a resurgence in viruses and more.
