Katie Behner

The Still Point Podcast is where nervous system mastery, breath, and human performance converge. Hosted by Katie Behner—nervous system and performance coach, mindfulness teacher, and biomechanics specialist—this podcast explores the space where real transformation happens: the still point between inhale and exhale. This work is not about pushing harder or doing more. It’s about learning how to regulate, refine, and respond with precision. Through a powerful integration of neuroscience, breathwork, emotional awareness, and embodied practice, Katie guides listeners out of reactivity and into aligned action. Her signature framework—Awareness, Acceptance, Action (AAA)—becomes a pathway for navigating high-pressure environments, complex relationships, personal growth, and performance at every level. Whether you are a high-level executive, an athlete, an equestrian, or someone simply seeking clarity and stability in your life, this podcast meets you where you are—and calls you forward. Because performance is not just physical. It’s physiological. It’s emotional. It’s energetic. And the way you breathe, perceive, and respond to life shapes everything. With a grounded yet deeply spiritual approach, The Still Point Podcast bridges the gap between science and self-awareness—offering tools to regulate your nervous system, sharpen your decision-making, and reconnect to your authentic self. This is where control softens into clarity. Where reaction transforms into response, where you stop bracing—and start becoming.

Activation: The Moment You Stop Bracing and Start Becoming

Activation: The Moment You Stop Bracing and Start Becoming There is a moment—so subtle it’s often missed— where life is asking you to shift. Not push. Not force. Not prove. But activate. This episode explores the deeper meaning of activation through the lens of the nervous system, breath, biomechanics, and the energetic dialogue between horse and rider… and human and self. Because activation is not about doing more— it’s about doing what is true. The Framework: AAA — Awareness, Acceptance, Action This episode is rooted in a simple but profound framework: Awareness Before anything changes, it must be seen. Not judged. Not fixed. Just witnessed. Your breath. Your body. Your patterns. Your reactions. In riding, this is the moment before the rein. In life, it is the moment before the reaction. Acceptance Not resignation—but allowance. The willingness to say: this is what is here right now. When we skip this step, we brace. When we honor it, we soften. Acceptance regulates the nervous system. It brings coherence to the body. It creates the conditions for truth. Action From this place—aligned, aware, and regulated— action becomes precise. Not reactive. Not emotional chaos. But intentional, intelligent, and deeply effective. This is activation. Activation vs. Bracing Most people are not activating. They are bracing. Bracing looks like: Over-controllingForcing outcomesTightening the bodyReacting emotionallyTrying to “fix” before feelingActivation looks like: Breath-led awarenessA responsive, alive bodyClear, clean communicationEmotional regulationTiming that comes from presence Work With Me If this resonates, there are ways to go deeper into this work— whether you are working with a horse or simply ready to come home to yourself. 1:1 Coaching — Virtual or In-Person I work with clients across the country through: Virtual coaching sessions (breathwork, nervous system regulation, life coaching)Biomechanics + rider awareness sessionsLive equestrian coaching and clinics Horse + Rider Integration (Virtual & In-Person) You do not need to be physically in front of me to change everything. Through virtual sessions, I work with riders to: Break down movement patternsRefine timing and feelRegulate the nervous system before and during ridesCreate a deeper, more honest connection with their horseYour horse doesn’t need more training. They need a more aware rider. Life Coaching + Nervous System Work For those not working with horses, this work translates directly into life: Decision-makingEmotional clarityBoundaries and relationshipsPerformance under stressReturning to your authentic selfFinal Reflection Activation is not something you chase. It is something you allow. It begins the moment you: Notice your breathFeel your bodyTell the truthAnd choose differentlyIf you’re ready to step into that work, to move from bracing into activation, to refine your awareness into power— I’m here. onpointelifecoaching@gmail.com

Presence Through Attunement - The Still Pointe https://www.still-pointe.com The Point Podcast Finding the Still Point—Breath, Awareness, and the Deep Partnership with Your Horse Welcome to The Point Podcast, where we explore the biomechanics of the human and horse body, emotional control, deep awareness, and the breath—the still point between the inhale and exhale. I’m [Your Name], and today, we’re diving into something foundational to our connection with our horses: finding the still point and using it to create a deeper sense of awareness, presence, and partnership. Because here’s the thing—life is just a tool. Every experience, every challenge, every breath is an opportunity to learn, refine, and embrace what it means to be truly present. And when we step into that presence, we open the door to something greater—harmony, trust, and union with our horse. The Breath as a Gateway to Awareness Let’s start with the breath. It’s something we do thousands of times a day, but how often do we actually notice it? Right now, take a deep inhale…and a slow exhale. Feel the space in between, that tiny moment where everything is suspended—the still point. That stillness is where deep awareness begins. It’s a pause, a reset, a place where we can check in with ourselves before stepping into action. When we find this space within ourselves, we create the conditions for our horses to feel safe, connected, and in sync with us. Bringing the Still Point Into Your Ride Horses live in the present moment. They don’t worry about yesterday or plan for tomorrow. They respond to what’s happening right now. And if we show up distracted, tense, or carrying the weight of our day, they feel it. But when we access the still point—that deep, grounded awareness in our breath—we create a space for clarity, softness, and true communication. Try this: • Before you even get on, stand beside your horse and focus on your breath. Inhale, pause, exhale. Feel your feet on the ground. Let your nervous system settle. • Notice your horse—how does their breathing change in response to yours? Do they soften? Exhale? Blink more slowly? • As you ride, bring your attention back to that still point between the breath. Let it guide your rhythm, your aids, your feel. Life as a Tool for Awareness So often, we look at life’s challenges as obstacles—things to push through or get past. But what if, instead, we saw them as tools? Tools that teach us how to breathe through discomfort, find clarity in uncertainty and stay present in movement. Riding, like life, is full of unexpected moments—the spook, the resistance, the hesitation. But when we train ourselves to return to the breath, to the still point, we step out of reaction and into awareness. And from that awareness, we create flow, balance, and a deeper bond with our horse. Until next time—breathe, pause, and find the still point.
