- Society & Culture
Welcome to The Storybook Cafe! As lovers of both books and cafes, and the importance of spreading mental health awareness, we have fused these elements into one wholesome hub of book-loving, tea-drinking, self-care practising loveliness. Each episode will focus on a different element of mental health, including self-care activities and practices, common things which effect our mental health, and how our identities intersect with mental health. We hope you enjoy them and get something useful from them, and know that if you are struggling with mental health issues, you are not alone!

Self Help Books & A Very Shouty Pusscat
There is probably a literal fucktonne of self-help books out there right now and it's not always easy to find the right ones for you, ones which are helpful, but not peddling some kind of mental health snake oil or just straight up trying to get you to join a cult. So Nicola and I talk through some of our favourite ones, with a few apps in there too, and then right at the end Pusscat decides to yell his approval at our general messages. What a good boy.

Therapy!
Nicola and U talk about our experiences with therapy, good, bad and meh, and tips on finding the right therapist for you. We go through options that are free, subsidised and paid for. If you want therapy, you can access it free through the NHS or an appropriate charity such as Cruse Bereavement, Mind, Relate, Rape Crisis or if you are able to pay, look up the Counselling Directory

Depression
Nicola and I talk about depression, books and why we love YA literature. Next time, therapy!
