Don’t know the backstory, but listening to your show nearly daily had become something I looked forward to. Our station has replaced your time slot with Freshair. It is lovely and inspiring, but airs 2x each day, so I would rather have the opportunity to listen to both. Hope you are all faring well and that you may return in some form or fashion soon!!!

I’m so sad it’s over, I recently started following this show on podcasts because I wanted to finish episodes I started hearing in the car. I really enjoyed that The Takeaway talked about interesting topics that were a little off the beaten path. They shared different perspectives and I really enjoyed it.

I’m crushed to learn this podcast is ending … I feel like I only just found you! These episodes encapsulate big ideas quickly, without much loss to either detail or nuance. Additionally, to a U.S. listener, each topic covered is one at the heart of our democracy. Although topical, each episode always examines one of the cultural, structural, moral, legal, or political underpinnings of our nation. That’s really what you want: a show which, by examining the particulars, can reveal the fundamentals, and then explain the whole picture. Wow, am I going to miss you.

I am thrilled beyond measure that Ms. Perry is on the air! The Takeaway is smart and informative, having conversations that we all need to hear and learn from.

Melissa Harris-Perry’s The Takeaway is inspiring and grounded at the same time. My local station, KQED, dropped it from the line-up and put a big hole, not just into the day, but into my daily reminders of how we are really faring. No other show covers how women, particularly women of color, in the country are doing in quite the same way. Hers is a voice from within. Please consider podcasting the show whole rather than in topical pieces.

I have long been a fan of public intellectual Melissa Harris-Perry. I watched her MSNBC show weekly when it ran in the early to mid 2010s and was thrilled when she was named host of The Takeaway. She doesn’t disappoint. Her interviews are warm, thoughtful, bold, and unapologetic in naming racial justice, gender, disability rights, the importance of healthcare access (including abortion), democracy reform, and otherwise. Great range of topics and guests. Highly recommend.

I try to listen to Mellisa Perry as often as I can , her shows a interesting and informative. I love she speaks to me and my concerns as a woman in America.
