The Bardtenders had the chance to stay at the Heard House sponsored by Heard Card Game where bartenders from around the country came together to share their stories, gain access to education opportunities, and create some amazing memories along the way. Join us over the next several weeks as these bartenders share their experiences of their time in the hospitality industry! In this episode of "The Mixing Glass", Bradley Miller talks about what it takes to start a business and how the choices in your life all lead to where you want to be if you pay attention and focus on your passions. Bradley also discusses the importance of giving back to your community and why it's a core component of what we do in the world of hospitality ------------ Bradley Miller has worked in the service industry his entire life. In 2018, Bradley realized something powerful - he had gained so many skills, abilities to make people smile, ways to craft delightful dishes, and a variety of other assets, but he still wanted more. He wanted to spread more joy, more happiness, help his community have better lives, and live with more purpose. Bradley decided that it was time to build his own dream and with this, he crafted Punch Drunk Chef Meal Prep.  Bradley built a personal mission statement that he was able to build into the business as well. His goal was to be an advocate of positive change in the lives of those around him. So, with all the hopes and dreams, a few trusted friends and family, and a credit card - he took this leap of faith and put every egg into one basket. While many trials and tribulations were ahead of him, and each with their unique lessons to learn from, he persevered to where he is today six years later.  The entire time, Bradley was focused and spreading positivity and t creating further benefits for his community. Now, with 2 other talented chefs, a couple of delivery trucks, and their own kitchen and store front - they stand proud with even more strength to give back to their community, a community that gave him the opportunity to create his wonderful business. Bradley and his team at Punch Drunk Chef pride themselves on not only bettering the individual and their amazing clients, but feeding their community through pop ups, working with local athletes and their non profit organizations, feeding local schools, teaming up with the Boys and Girls Club, and making sure that first responders never go without a Thanksgiving meal as well! ------------ Don't miss out on any of the action!  Head to www.bardtender.com to stay up to date with all of the Bardtender content, find resources for mental and physical wellbeing, get access to education materials, and check out what all of our bards are up to!
