Total Eclipse Of The Balls (Hour 2)

Total Eclipse Of The Balls (Hour 2)

Todd kicks off today’s second hour with more information about Wisconsin’s education struggles. Our state’s teacher shortage is a tremendous issue. Many of our new teachers leave the profession after just a few years.

At the bottom of the hour, eBaum’s World Managing Editor Peter Rapine joins us for another weird week in review. We have great stories about the solar eclipse, legal action after bad dates, Mad Dog 20/20, and more!

UW Campuses In Dire Straits (Hour 1)

UW Campuses In Dire Straits (Hour 1)

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel published an article this morning about the continued financial plight of the Universities of Wisconsin. We are joined by its author, Kelly Meyerhofer, to discuss newly released reports on each UW campus. The reports highlighted deficits at UW Oshkosh and UW Platteville in particular, claiming that they must make drastic changes immediately or face closure. Kelly shares what she’s heard from students, faculty, and government officials. We also take your calls on the UW System’s slow decline.

Converting A DeLorean To An EV with Geoffrey Hoffman (Hour 2)

Converting A DeLorean To An EV with Geoffrey Hoffman (Hour 2)

We are pleased to share that State Senator Kelda Roys and representative Katrina Shankland will be holding an open forum to discuss closures of two-year UW campuses. On Tuesday, April 6th at 6 pm, meet up at the Kratochwill Memorial Building in Muscoda to express your thoughts. Up until now, Wisconsin Democrats have been silent on this issue, so we are excited for this event and hope it proves fruitful.

Have you ever wanted to drive a DeLorean? What if it was electric? At the bottom of the hour, we welcome Geoffrey Hoffman, business owner and EV aficionado. He converted a DeLorean to an EV, so we ask him what that was like.

Breaking News: Justice Ann Walsh Bradley Declines To Run (Hour 1)

Breaking news: Justice Ann Walsh Bradley will not be running for another term on Wisconsin’s state supreme court. We take your calls as we speculate on who may run for her seat. Perhaps our very own Maggie Daun?

Also breaking today, O. J. Simpson has passed away from prostate cancer. Todd reflects on the controversial figure.

The Wisconsin Conservation Hall Of Fame (Hour 2)

This hour, we take some time to talk about the importance of nonpartisan civil servants.

At the bottom of the hour, we are pleased to welcome Marco Mascitti, the President of the Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame Foundation. Continuing last week’s theme of our state’s greatness, Marco is here to tell us all about this year’s inductees. Check out wchf.org to learn more and/or donate!

    Abortion and Authoritarianism (Hour 1)

    Abortion and Authoritarianism (Hour 1)

On this crossover Wednesday, we enjoy our weekly visit from Pat Kreitlow of UpNorthNews Radio! Pat’s wife is an OB-GYN, so he has a lot to say about the Arizona state supreme court’s recent decision to uphold an ancient abortion ban with no exceptions for rape or incest.

Todd and Pat also share some new audio from RFK Jr’s New York campaign manager. His campaign is now explicitly trying to pull votes from both sides to “spoil” the election. If Joe Biden and Donald Trump both fail to accrue 270 electoral votes, the election will be decided by congress. Our Republican-led congress will likely favor Trump, and the world cannot afford another four years with that walking disaster.

Speaking of Donald Trump’s authoritarianism, Todd recaps Project 2025. This project seeks to enact Trumpism at all levels of government, and it is extremely dangerous. Trump is not hiding his autocracy. He’s flaunting it, and we must vote against fascism.
