I’m no movie expert, but this podcast has hooked me. The host is spiritual, genuine, and insanely smart, making every episode a joy to listen to. They break down movies through the lenses of friendships, religion, and social dynamics in a way that’s both deep and relatable for me,most of the time. Even if you’re not a film buff, you’ll love how relatable and insightful the discussions are. It feels like listening to wise friend who helps you see movies—and life—in a new light. Highly recommend for anyone looking for inspiring and thoughtful content!

Admittedly I am not a well-versed cinephile or music lover, but I have still found many things to appreciate in this podcast. The conversations are wide-ranging, and while diving into specific cultural items, manage to pull out larger reflections on humanity and existence. Moreover, I find that the emphasis on cultural relics from a given year challenges me to re-examine those relics and other expressions of culture that I encounter. Sometimes I wish that there was more background provided (or perhaps some links for people to expose themselves to content that they are otherwise unfamiliar with), but even still there is plenty to take away. The guests (and Andrew) have all been thoughtful and facilitated a flowing organic conversation. Look forward to more.
